We are exactly half way through the year, and it’s time for a pulse check. I’m returning from a weekend that really opened my eyes, but not how I was expecting it to. It opened my eyes to a side of me that I didn’t want to see. I’ve become complacent, content, comfortable, and at some point started to accept mediocrity. The Kyle I remember as a kid, wouldn’t have tolerated this for a minute. As kids we want to be professional athletes, president, astronauts, etc.. As adults why do we accept mediocrity?? Terrible diet, lack of exercise, too much tv, dead end careers, empty bank accounts. We set ambitious goals and then lower them or just throw them out all together so that we don’t have to feel bad about ourselves. I don’t know what demons you are fighting with, but for me it all stops today. I’m suffocating the excuses and drowning out the mediocrity. I am a different beast today, than I was yesterday. In the comments are my top 5 goals that I set at the beginning of the year, with updated results. There’s multiple reasons why I’m not further along with my goals right now and they are all very reasonable. But this next chapter of my life is the chapter of being unreasonable. Unreasonable effort will bring me unreasonable results. I am moving forward with so much conviction and so much intensity, that the goals will be in my rearview mirror before I come up for air again. This next chapter will change the trajectory of my life forever. If you need me, I’ll be buying companies and doing sit ups. PEACE ✌

Did You Know You Can’t Avoid Bad Decisions Forever? We’ve all made bad decisions—and it sucks. You feel terrible, frustrated, and maybe even stuck. But here’s the truth: It’s okay to feel terrible after a bad decision. That’s part of the process. Here’s how to turn it around: 1. Own it – Acknowledge it, don’t run from it. (Like when you skip the gym but own up to it the next day.) 2. Learn from it – What went wrong? What can you do better? (Maybe you’re overtraining or not eating enough.) 3. Take action – Small steps forward can fix big mistakes. (Hit the gym for a light session or adjust your workout routine.) 4. Move on – Don’t dwell. Use it to get better. (Tomorrow’s a new day—don’t let the setback hold you back.) I’ve made my fair share of bad decisions in business. When I launched Contntr, I stumbled a lot, but each mistake taught me valuable lessons. Those lessons are why we’re growing today. Bad decisions don’t define you. Your comeback does. Have you ever turned a bad decision around? Drop your thoughts in the comments👇 Let’s talk about how you bounced back! #ContntrValueSets

🔥 Turning the Heat into Motivation: How I Broke My Own Beliefs 🔥 Every year, September rolls around, and I think the worst of the heat is over here in Southern California. But yesterday was 110 degrees. Today? 110 degrees again. And the forecast says the triple digits are sticking around for at least another week. Now, I hate hot weather, and I've always believed that summer is the worst time to stay active. But here's the thing: my best months for steps this year were June (305,784), July (319,630), and August (313,648). My worst? April, when the weather was pretty much perfect (246,751). It’s a powerful reminder that sometimes the stories we tell ourselves don’t align with the reality. My belief that summer was holding me back simply wasn’t supported by the data. So how did I stay consistent? By getting creative. Sometimes it meant walking before the sun came up. Other times, I’d head to the local grocery store and do laps (especially around the freezer aisle!). This experience taught me that our beliefs can sometimes be the biggest obstacles to our progress. Instead of focusing on what we think is holding us back, we need to shift our focus to what we want and then get creative about how to get there. If you’ve been feeling stuck or are holding on to a limiting belief, I encourage you to take a step back, rethink your story, and find a way forward. What’s one area of your life where you need to get creative to achieve your goals? Let’s share our stories and help each other grow in the comments below. Together, we can move forward—even in the heat! #Leadership #GrowthMindset #ChallengeYourBeliefs #Adaptability #CreativityInAction #LinkedInCommunity #WellnessJourney #thewisdomofwalt #WEDnesdayswithwalt

💡 Would you rather develop a new product or develop your soul? 💡 What matters more to you—being a successful CEO or being someone who always lends a helping hand? Having a pile of money in the bank or knowing that your retirement years will be shared with friends and family who adore you? 💡 We live in a cultural framework that emphasizes exterior success-money, fame, status, work promotions, and other upwardly mobile achievements—at the expense of our virtue and inner character. In order to succeed in that framework, we've become narcissists. Because we want to ascend the ladder of success, we put ourselves at the center of our own universe. 💡 Almost every minute of our days must be spent working toward some achievement. We inflate our resumés with accolades and promotions. We have lunch with the "right" people. We trade up to larger houses and fancier cars. We enroll our kids in the best schools. We spend our lives in pursuit of superficial, materialistic gains because we believe this will make us happy. 💡 The problem is that these accomplishments don't give us deep satisfaction-eventually they leave us feeling hollow and empty, wondering what it was all for. In order to live more meaningful lives, we need to move toward a moral renewal. 🛑 We need to ask ourselves how we can better serve the world instead of just serving ourselves. If we start paying more attention to living virtuously and strengthening our character rather than building our resumés and stock portfolios, we can enjoy a life filled with purpose instead of shallow victories. 👉 And ultimately, we'll become happier people. ✍️ This will be the topic of the next article I am currently writing, where I argue towards achieving some sort of equilibrium between both scenarios. But for now, what are your thoughts on the above? Do you agree? Disagree? #GrowthMindset #Character

“The masses are saying 2025 is a new beginning. Yes, I agree with them. But to them (The masses) a new beginning is just words, emotions and fantasies. Majority of them are already fantasizing on how they are grinding day and night, smashing goals and all that. This is also good, but then again, they put most their energy on the idea of them smashing their goals and not on the idea of them doing the PROCESS. Getting the ACTION done. This is what separates the Rich from the Poor. The Rich are always looking forward to getting the process done. The Poor are always looking forward to getting the rewards in their pockets. Now I want you to look again, but this time with a different perspective. I want you to understand that everyday is a new beginning to get something done. It is a chance to become better by one percent (1%). And one year of self improvement makes one 365% better than last year. Now imagine if you start now? You're not only becoming more better but also teaching yourself to be disciplined during the season of less motivation. Because by February next year, that season will emerge once again. As they say, "The best time to start is not tomorrow, not next month, not next year. The best time to start is NOW".
