𝗟𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘆 𝗳𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿... 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗜 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱. . . In 2006, he passed, and I suddenly found myself managing a small mobile home park and a single-family home he left behind. . I had no idea what I was doing. . I leaned on a property manager to help, learning the ropes little by little. . It was overwhelming, but I knew I had to make it work. . Eventually, my family sold the mobile home park, and I used portion of that capital to explore other investments. . Stocks, crypto, single-family homes... I tried it all, but something kept pulling me toward multifamily real estate. . It felt like the right path to scale and build something sustainable. . I joined ALL the masterminds and learned the strategies. . And in August 2023, I closed my first major multifamily deal. . It was the moment I realized this was more than just a hobby—it was a legacy in the making. . Now, I’m investing internationally and using AI to take my business to the next level. . It’s a journey I never planned for, but one I’m grateful to be on. . What started from loss has grown into something powerful. . And it’s why I’m so passionate about sharing what I’ve learned. . Every week I speak with new, wannabe real estate investors. Might be one this week, three next week, but it's consistent. Most calls are similar. The n00b wants to start investing in real estate. He/she has watched 300 of the 700 podcasts available on some website, leaving them more confused than when they initially began. . .over a year ago! Now they are off to YouTube U, followed by long nights "studying" on IG, and my personal fave, TikTok. 😄 Always in search of the secret sauce, the decoder ring, the "right time". The "right time" is code for the n00b to justify remaining deeply imbedded in their comfort zone, where they will remain for six months. . .one year. . .three years. . . Then I receive a DM here on LinkedIn, or an email, asking if they can speak with me, can I offer advice. "Yes, of course", I answer. Their stories are all similar. We chat, and I leave them with the advice of wise man and author, Seth Godin: "The best way to get unstuck? Don't wait for the right answer and the golden path to present themselves. This is precisely why you're stuck. Starting without seeing the end is difficult, so we often wait until we see the end, scanning relentlessly for the right way, the best way and the perfect way. The way to get unstuck is to start down the wrong path, right now. Step by step, page by page, interaction by interaction. As you start moving, you can't help but improve, can't help but incrementally find yourself getting back toward your north star. You might not end up with perfect, but it's significantly more valuable than being stuck." Do they heed those wise words? Perhaps. But the last woman I spoke with told me she was going to buy Seth's book and settle down to read. Book smarts make conversation, street smarts make money.

2+ years ago, when I joined the real estate industry from tech as a writer & social media marketer, I thought I had found it finally, something I truly loved: Real Estate ❤️ But there was always this one thing that kept me wondering: isn't there a solution for the huge barrier of entry? So many people were interested in real estate but couldn’t participate because it required massive capital. It felt like a game for only the rich & wealthy Then last year, everything changed when I stumbled upon Tokenization during a space I attended on X. I was in awe 😯. The solution was finally here! I remember asking one of the investors I worked with in California if he knew about Tokenization. His response? "Yeah, but it’s probably one of those scam projects that won’t last long." At first, I gave it some thought maybe he was right. But fast forward to now, and Tokenization isn’t just still around; it’s here to stay. It’s transforming everything. I started digging deeper research, reading case studies, and learning. Thanks to resources like DigiShares, I was able to build my knowledge. And now, I’m convinced: Tokenization is revolutionizing the asset industry. It’s making it possible for anyone, not just the wealthy, to own a fraction of a high-value asset. If I, someone who’s not an investor (at least not yet 😁), can be convinced of the change Tokenization brings, imagine how investors, those who live & breathe investments, can be convinced even faster Think about it: if you’re in a room with investors and non-investors, and you’re pitching an investment opportunity, who do you think is more likely to show interest first? The investor, of course Investing is in their blood; they’re always on the lookout for the next opportunity. That doesn’t mean you can’t convince non-investors it’s just that it’ll take more time. They’re not in that mindset yet, and there could be a hundred reasons why they haven’t started investing So what am I saying in essence? As a founder, you have the power to convince investors to believe in your project and to experience the promise of Tokenization Yes, it takes time just like it took me almost a year to reach this conclusion. But that doesn’t mean you give up. You’re in this for the long game (and no, this is not a motivational post) You have the upper hand in bringing these Web2 investors into the Web3 space because they already trust you and your expertise. Now you just tell them, they need to see the reason why they should believe you (Show don't tell) That’s why I respect the likes of Michael Shlayen, Michael So, Mark Fidelman, Pamela Norton, Bruno Calabretta, Ivan Voznoi, Eric McHugh☀️🌙, Dr. Jeffrey E. Berger, Jordan G., and many others in the Tokenization space... they’re out there onboarding people and preaching about the future of asset ownership So, what’s next? Why do we still cling to the traditional ways of Real Estate Investing when the landscape has evolved so much? Is it comfort, fear of change, or something else? For years, traditional Real Estate Investing has been seen as the “safe” route. Buy a property, hold it long-term, wait for appreciation, and slowly build wealth over time. It’s familiar, predictable, and has worked for generations. Maybe it’s comfort. We tend to stick with what we know, especially if it has been proven to work for others before us. There’s a sense of security in following a roadmap laid out by decades of investors. Or perhaps it’s fear. The fear of venturing into uncharted waters, whether that’s using new technology, trying out alternative financing options, or thinking outside the single-family home box. New Investors are leveraging modern strategies like crowdfunding, short-term rentals, house hacking, and syndications that allow them to scale faster with less capital upfront. The old “buy and hold” model is no longer the only path to success. Investors today are blending traditional principles with creative strategies to achieve financial freedom more quickly and with less risk. What if we embraced change and looked at how technology, creative financing, and a fresh perspective could unlock even greater opportunities? So, here’s the real question: Are we holding ourselves back by not embracing these modern approaches?

As a mortgage broker, my primary focus is real estate, but I’ve learned one powerful lesson over the years: when a bubble forms, it’s not the time to sit on the sidelines—it’s the time to learn, adapt, and ride the wave. 🌊 Instead of labeling it a “scam” or dismissing it outright, recognize it for what it is: an opportunity. If you know it’s a bubble and understand it will eventually pop, why not position yourself strategically and capitalize on the momentum?
