Happy Father's Day. Being a good father is the most important, if not so appreciated or celebrated job in the world. A lifetime undertaken too with no vacations, sick leaves, any real or tangible benefits which is why many without that capacity to give without receiving anything in return or, the consideration of ROI and so on are unable or, lack the capacity to be. However your achievement came about, it is most likely indeed that, it would not have been possible without a decent man with integrity who must have taught you or, served as the role model for your choice of the path that you've taken. It is precisely the same for me though I am not as accomplished as you are. To have not added to the trouble of humanity by being a scammer, a liar, a bitter, hurtful, envious, shameless parasite or, any other way of being a further burden on humanity is thanks to my father who introduced me to the finer things in life such as books, novels and comics such as Tintin and those other ones before all of the craziness that prevails now, geography, anthropology, archaeology, and so much more that just makes me unable to stoop to any ignoble levels. We can see and know for a fact, how children without the influence of good and sound fathers end up. The statistics are extant for those who are honest enough with themselves and so, are willing to see the facts. Nothing beats the feeling of having a great dad. Mine was in Denmark for a while. He gave me that aspect of me which deeply appreciates, is connected with and values the original Western Culture of the Renaissance masters such as Michelangelo, Botticelli, Raphael, the Greek and Roman cultures of the great philosophers, Socrates, Plato, the mathematicians, Archimedes, Pythagoras and so on which so many seem to hate and want to destroy now, preferring depravity, degeneracy, perversion and, devolution as opposed to evolution where nudity and sex and, the physical are celebrated instead of the intellectual which is how you got to where you are. Now, athletes and sports people, reality TV actors and actresses and, singers who entertained merchants, royalty and, the intellectuals in the Middle Ages are "celebrated" in an upside down world of distorted value system. We need more men to be men and not cowards. We all know that, if you don't stand for something, then you will fall for anything. The Truth is, the Truth regardless of anything. I just returned home this weekend from a big regional area meet in Pensacola and saw this. Wanted to share it as this is the beauty of cross country and how it would apply if we used that same spirit in our work and personal lives. These are not my words but as a 7+ year cross country mom, they very well could be. —- What if we lived life like we were all in a cross country meet? What if we watched other people and recognized that we're all just trying to get across the finish line? What if we understood that some people are running as hard as they can but battling illnesses, invisible injuries, and internal struggles? Every step is hard, but they're trying not to quit. What if we cheered for everyone even if they weren't on our team? What if we realized just finishing something, no matter how long it took us or how messy it seemed, was enough? In fact, it was a win. What if we used every race as an opportunity to learn more about ourselves and how we could use each other for support, inspiration, and help to reach our goals? What if we cheered loud for the winner, but even louder for the one who comes in after because they accomplished something great, too? In a world that tells us it's about me, me, me, what if we started living to support everyone brave enough to be in the race? November 1st we celebrated our 2nd birthday as being Small Business owners, our realestate business Nutrien Harcourts Clifton has taken on another sales agent and we also have 4 staff as well as Kellie and I. What have I learned in the last 2 years? Staff, no matter how old, can be moody and argumentative, they get burnt out easy dealing with the public. We manage this by giving them extra, long weekends when we notice change and sending them out with different team members to do routine jobs. Integrity and honesty needs to be visible from the first phone call. I divulge everything I know about a property. It never hurts to call on fellow agents and just talk, pick their brains and get advice on how to market and sell a certain property. It also feels good to pass on a client to another agent, no strings attached, particularly, if we have no stock suitable for a potential buyer. Selling and finding properties is bloody hard work, it’s rewarding, not necessarily financially but rewarding to help someone achieve their goals.

I think I really do need a week off after this week off. But it was remarkable! Here are the highlights. I'll make a number of posts indivdually about each I'm sure. The people met deserve more than a mention as they spurred thought provoking conversations beyond my normal regiment. 𝑾𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒆 𝒐𝒏 𝒗𝒂𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏: 13 people networked with - on various cool topics 4 active accounts - ghostwriting 3 meetings set up with connections 3 movies watched - guilty pleasure 3 blogs written - half work half pleasure 2 proposals written 1 networking event - Village Networking 1 book finished - by Adam Grant 1 romantic lunch with my babe - awesome time ∞ no. of coffees drank I share this not as a humble brag but as a situation where having time off is a help. Some of these items I have been wanting to do and life gets in the way. 𝐈 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟. 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞. 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞. 𝐖𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭, 𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬. Finding your rhythm or flow is first, then working with it to be creative and productive is our mission on earth.
