When past, purpose, and a sense of “home” run together, it creates something unforgettable. Partnering with Panay Films and T-Mobile on this campaign was more than just a project—it was a meaningful collision of personal history and professional passion. As the Spanish editor, I was proud to bring Gp5 Inc. bilingual post-production skills to this powerful message, alongside the legendary voice of David Ortiz. But this story hit closer to “home” than I anticipated. The footage captured scenes from St. Pete Beach—the first place I called home after arriving in the U.S. with my aunt and uncle. Seeing those streets, my old neighborhood, and realizing they’d been impacted by hurricanes was deeply moving. Adding to that, my uncle Kris, a firefighter, was on the ground helping save lives—a true reminder of resilience and service. And, as if this project couldn't resonate more, my new home team, the Los Angeles Dodgers, won the World Series, contributing to T-Mobile’s incredible Rally for Relief campaign. Each home run raised $25,000, helping reach a total of up to $1 million for hurricane relief. It’s rare that a project we work on carries this many layers of meaning, and I’m grateful GP5 could contribute to support those affected by the recent storms. Let’s rally together to make a difference—text “RALLY” to 90999, and T-Mobile will donate $10 to support hurricane relief efforts. #GP5Productions #HomeRun #HurricaneRelief #TMobile #Dodgers https://lnkd.in/gbVRaqHn

Talking to The Commercial Observer about the Tampa Bay Ray's Stadium damaged by Hurricane Milton. #MLB has indicated its first choice for a temporary home for the Rays to begin the 2025 season would be a local one. The Phillies and Yankees’ spring training complexes in Clearwater and Tampa have been mentioned as the most likely local options. Another option that I suggested is the Port Charlotte Sports Park which is owned by the Rays - or a site outside of #Florida. The Port Charlotte site would give an economic boost to that market recovering from the hurricane damage of Ian and Milton and create some goodwill throughout that stretch of hurricane battered I-75. "Boyd also suggested that the Rays consider options outside of Florida as a way to grow the team’s brand, perhaps in potential MLB expansion cities such as Nashville, Charlotte, and San Antonio. He said another appealing option is Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico, which was the part-time home of the Montreal Expos before the franchise moved to the nation’s capital to become the Washington Nationals". “It’s really a once-in-a-life time opportunity to really do something a bit different, consistent with the global brand of baseball and the global brand of #Tampa and the #Rays organization,” said Boyd, noting that there are many flights from Tampa to San Juan with no passports required. “This is a chance to do something in a global market with minimal risk" (given the temporary nature of the move). #SiteSelection #EconDev #CRE #SportsBusiness #MLB https://lnkd.in/e8BMyePa

🏈 NFL Stadiums as Emergency Shelters: Preparing for Future Disasters 🌪️ We found this #article from the Washington Post worth the read https://wapo.st/3zx6Vf7 Here's a quick summary if you haven't read it: FEMA and the NFL are teaming up to turn football stadiums into emergency shelters and command centers during disasters. This initiative, sparked by lessons from Hurricane Katrina and the pandemic, aims to better prepare communities for catastrophic events like hurricanes and wildfires. While the plan is ambitious, challenges remain—such as overcoming the trauma linked to past failures like Katrina’s Superdome shelter. So far, four stadiums have signed on, with more expected to join. The goal? To provide safer, better-equipped spaces for those in need. What do you think about this partnership? Tell us in the comments. #EmergencyPreparedness #NFL #DisasterRelief #krgre #cre #commercialrealestate #commercial #stadium #nfl #football #sports #distaster #hurricane #tornado #shelters
