Growth Doesn’t Happen in Isolation Some of the most innovative ideas, groundbreaking products, and forward-thinking strategies don’t come from a lone genius—they come from people working together, sharing ideas, and solving problems collaboratively. That’s the beauty of community-driven collaboration. Research shows that small businesses create 55% of the total net new jobs in the U.S., showcasing how community-focused efforts can spur economic growth. When your community starts collaborating, the results can be phenomenal. Internally, collaboration between employees can improve communication, break down silos, and lead to faster decision-making. Externally, community collaboration can do wonders for your brand—whether it’s through crowdsourcing ideas, co-creating products, or encouraging your customers to engage in meaningful conversations. Let’s talk about real-world examples. GitHub isn’t just a space where developers hang out; it’s a platform that has revolutionized how software is created. By allowing developers from all over the world to collaborate, GitHub enables projects to evolve faster, with fewer bugs and more innovative features. It’s a perfect example of how a company can leverage its community for collective success. At GUARDDOG AI, we believe community is crucial to our vision and long-term success. Collaboration isn’t just useful; it’s revolutionary. Over the past decade, I've built global communities to support engineers building open-source software (OSS). What I didn’t expect is that key aspects of the communities themselves could be shaped by OSS principles. For example, Eric S. Raymond in "The Cathedral and the Bazaar," notes: "Given enough eyeballs, all bugs are shallow" This open-source ethos—promoting incremental progress by building things publicly and out in the open —has driven my work with engineers and founders through Data Council and Zero Prime Ventures. This is why I also speak up with caution when engineer-founders tell me that they’ve decided to stay “in stealth” just a little bit longer. In most cases, what benefits founders more is to get quick feedback from the outside world (mostly from customers & founder peers) which makes their ideas & products stronger. Startups die by learning too slowly. Building in the open forces them to iterate faster.

From writing code to writing change: How one developer discovered that real impact happens face-to-face (and often involves getting out of your comfort zone)🤝 Maddlogic LLC Founder Jason Madden has learned that while corporate tech offers security, true fulfillment comes from seeing your work transform local communities. Another key insight? Step away from the screen and build an in-person community. 'If you know you're disappointing someone you'll have to face in person, like at lunch, it motivates you to stay true to your values,' he shares. This face-to-face accountability has transformed his approach to business and technology. Want to create meaningful change? Jason suggests: - Start with your local community - Push your comfort zone daily (yes, even for us introverts!) - Focus on mutual benefit in every interaction - Prioritize real-world experience over theory Read his full story at The Community Positive Project to learn how he's using technology to strengthen local business communities AND mentoring the next generation: https://lnkd.in/ggC7dUpK #TechForGood #CommunityImpact #SoftwareDevelopment #LocalBusiness

We need to 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝗿𝗲𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗗-19. Going through a multi-year pandemic that required us to isolate, understandably, created distance between us. And while some of us fared better than others, we all simultaneously lost some connections while trying to figure out how to navigate a virtual world. 𝗥𝗲𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁. Figuring out logistics, putting on pants, driving in rush hour traffic - are all things that now feel more difficult after a global pandemic. In the engineering world, I know a good chunk of folks who are adept at and okay with socializing virtually. But I also think there is quite a few of us who have obstacles getting in our way of rebuilding those connections. Some of us are shy or introverted; others are inundated with work and just too tired; some think they don't need other people. We all need people. Engineers need people. Innovation happens because of people (not singular). Weathering storms happens because of people. Getting jobs happens because of people. Yeah, it's true that people can be annoying. It can also be hard to find our people. But I promise it's worth you taking the chance. ------------------------------------------------------- (𝘝𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘰 𝘧𝘵. 𝘮𝘺 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘥𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘶𝘱, 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 *𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘵* 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦.) Have you noticed how much the world is shifting towards decentralized communities? It’s like every day, there's a new twist to how we connect, collaborate, and grow online. One innovation that's been on my mind is how Web3 is flipping the script on traditional platforms—giving us control of our data, our privacy, and even our money! 🚀 Lately, I've been fascinated by how decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) are reshaping governance in communities. Imagine running a project where decisions aren’t made by a few big bosses but by everyone involved. It's like bringing true democracy into play, but in a way that's quick and scalable. Oh, and today's Day 26 of the Uyo LinkedIn Community Visibility Challenge (yes, I'm still on it 💪). Apologies for not being consistent on LinkedIn—personal stuff came up. But trust me, I’ve got even more exciting updates coming your way! 🍻 PS: If you’re still thinking about Web3 like some kind of tech buzzword... nah, it's the future, and it's already happening. ------ I’m Nnaemeka Fabian, your go-to expert for growing and nurturing dynamic online communities. Let’s connect and elevate your community together! 🤝🏿🔗 #CommunityManagement #Web3Innovation #DAOsRevolution #DecentralizedFuture #CommunityGrowth #ulcvisibilitychallenge #GrowWithFrancis 🌱

Hey professional community! I have a friend looking to start a business around streamlining systems/ business operations/ automations for startups & small businesses with a need for this level of integration. I know you know... we all know... James Clear knows... "You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems." If you're a small biz owner or start up-er, you're probably asking questions like: 1. How can I best steward my time with so much on my plate? 2. What are best practices for keeping track of tasks/to-do's/projects? 3. Systems tools and AI are great, but what about when it comes down to processes only humans can truly integrate? 5. Are my client flows getting me the results I want, or are there strategic tweaks I can make to drive better outcomes and increase revenue? 4. How will I scale without proper support structures around our business operations? If that's you, DM me or comment "STREAMLINE" and I'll connect you with my friend/new business owner. Shameless Plug / PS. - The dude has serious experience in leading large teams through process development & mad genius around coding, so he's bringing a wide range of skillsets to the game and will likely be in high demand as his business grows. So, maybe don't think twice if you already know you have capacity/need for this kind of support. 😎

The hidden truths of tech communities: Being a techie is lonely work. Great accomplishments happen with someone else. But how do we build trust with strangers? Enter: group dynamics. But don't be fooled by the power of community-building: - Falling behind - Insecurity - Impostor syndrome It stops many from fully engaging. But those who push through gain: - Valuable feedback - New ideas - Support through tough times It's time to shift our mindset: - We're not alone - Others struggle too - We need each other to succeed Focus on personal interactions when building your tech community, and the rest will follow. Let's do this, together.

Why the President of the USA Declined My Project Proposal BREAKING NEWS: The President of the USA just declined my project proposal! 😱 Was it too ambitious? Too futuristic? Too…awesome? 🤔 Here’s the inside scoop: 📄 Proposal Name: “World Domination Through Seamless Software Solutions” 🌍💻 💡 Idea: Revolutionize the way we manage EVERYTHING—one line of code at a time. 🚀 Plan: A software so powerful, even Mars would want in on it. The rejection letter had some very interesting feedback: “Too much innovation for one planet.” 🌎 “We’re still trying to figure out Wi-Fi.” 📶 “Have you considered starting with a coffee machine?” ☕ (Okay, they’ve got a point there.) Lesson learned? Even the most out-of-this-world ideas need a touch of simplicity and relatability. But hey, I’m not giving up just yet – if the White House isn't ready, your business definitely is! 😉 🔧 Whether it's system planning, app development, or digital transformation, I'm here to help you dominate your corner of the world (without presidential approval required)! 😉 #BreakingNews #InnovationLeader #TechSolutions #NextGenTech #FutureOfSoftware #ThinkBig #SoftwareDevelopment #BusinessTransformation #DigitalStrategy #LeadershipInTech #GrowthMindset #ProblemSolver #CreativeTech #TechInnovation #CodeYourWorld #AppDevelopment #EntrepreneurMindset #BusinessLeader #NextBigThing #NoLimitsTech #GlobalImpact #TechForGood #SoftwareSuccess #TechHumor #VisionaryIdeas #DreamBigExecute #TechForTomorrow #BusinessInspiration #FutureReady
