GTE Group was engaged to upgrade the Process Control Network (PCN) across BHP's iron ore Port and Mines in WA. From July 2020 to February 2024, our team completed upgrades to over 250 network switches during 30 site shutdowns, achieving zero production impact and maintaining a perfect safety record. By integrating our multidisciplinary teams, including Industrial Communications, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, and Design/Drafting, we delivered solutions that not only addressed immediate risks but also laid the groundwork to ensure BHP’s network infrastructure is robust, scalable, and future-ready. Our team's collaborative execution of the WAIO PCN Upgrades has set a new standard for operational reliability and cybersecurity at BHP. Very few people have the skills to do this work and come out with fantastic results. Well done team.

Fantastic result. Not many teams with the ability to perform at such a high standard and so efficiently.
