Over the past 2 years, I've had the privilege of partnering with ECOLISE and many incredible passionate partners on the "Time for Collective Action Manifesto." https://lnkd.in/gBi7_PKg Together, we've collaborated on innovative solutions, shared invaluable insights, and driven forward this impactful initiative to tackle the pressing challenges of our time. 🌿 The dedication and unity I have witnessed was truly inspiring🌍 As we already know, we're at a critical juncture in addressing the planetary crisis of climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution. The "Time for Collective Action Manifesto" calls on EU policymakers, NGOs, and community-led initiatives to unite for transformative change. The manifesto taps into seven crucial points: -Support community-led initiatives as laboratories for transformative social innovation. - Support the right to have a choice to live sustainably. - Harness the power of community for a strong localized Green Deal. - Ensure meaningful public participation and lively democracies. - Secure financing and resources for community-led solutions. - Imagine the possibilities: from “what is” to “what if?” - Shift from extraction and infinite growth toward care and wellbeing. We must empower individuals and communities to act as changemakers and push for systemic reforms to create a sustainable, equitable future. Together, we can turn the tide and build a world where everyone thrives within planetary boundaries. Let's take collective action now! Special gratitude to Nina Klein for making this happen, Amelie Krug and the vegan 🍕 that started this beautiful journey 😊 #ClimateAction #Sustainability #CommunityPower #GreenDeal #Gratitude #CollectiveImpact #circulareconomy #policy

The new Goverment has an opportunity to put the environment at the core of their decisions. We fully support the focus on the whole-water systems approach and using models of integrated water cycle for evidence and policy assessment Institution of Environmental Sciences (IES) #WaterSystemsIntegration
The IES is calling for a new Government Mission: for sustainable wellbeing that creates a country with thriving people, a healthy economy, and a flourishing environment. 👥📈🌳 Read the report 👉 https://lnkd.in/e-Qvi-Vj Headline messages on #SustainableWellbeing: ➡️ The environment provides the resources that underpin economic security and public health, so a sustainable approach is crucial to creating a country that is fair and prosperous, now and in the future. ➡️ Serving the public and delivering economic security are not separate from protecting and enhancing the environment: they rely upon it. ➡️ To embed sustainability across government decisions, without leaving people behind, a clear mandate across government is needed. Put simply, ‘the buck’ must stop somewhere. Our full Message to Government sets out the case for sustainable wellbeing, alongside recommendations from across the IES Communities and key steps to support their delivery. The IES is committed to providing evidence to support the delivery of ambitious environmental policy, supporting our members and standing up for the voice of science, scientists, and the natural world. #MissionSustainableWellbeing #sustainability

Every year my team and I put out the MobiliseYourCity Global Monitor. We gather data from 50 projects in 33 countries around the word. This year’s report is a whopping 286 pages... But don’t worry, there is a one-page executive summary! 🔗 https://bit.ly/3PRnIOI Despite the arduous process, I think the Global Monitor is essential for at least these reasons: 📊 Transparency and Accountability: The implementing partners of the MobiliseYourCity Partnership have collectively leveraged a total of 1.75 billion euros to implement sustainable urban mobility projects in our city and country members. By disclosing our funding, the status of our operations, and offering some analysis of our work from a portfolio perspective, the Global Monitor promotes transparency and helps our stakeholders make informed decisions about investing in or engaging with MobiliseYourCity. 📈 Learning and Improvement: By analysing data from implementing partners, the Global Monitor facilitates learning from on-the-ground experiences, enabling evidence-based decisions and adaptive management of the Secretariat services to enhance effectiveness. 📣 Evidence-Based Advocacy: Data collection supports evidence-based advocacy by documenting successes, challenges, and lessons learned, strengthening the case for policy changes, increased funding, and scaling up interventions. 🌍 Demonstrating Impact: Through outcome measurement and impact projection, the Global Monitor showcases MobiliseYourCity's impact (such as, the evolution of SUMPSs and NUMPs, our contribution to Sustainable Development Goals), justifying investments and attracting stakeholders to sustainable mobility initiatives. Essentially, we aim to foster credibility and trust with you, our stakeholders. I hope our efforts are paying off! And I'm optimistic that the team will maintain their motivation for next year. Great work, Eléonore Jacobs, Réka Carolina Aguilar, Giuliana Ambrosino, Nicolás Cruz González, Milnael Gomez! And a heartfelt thank you to our greatest supporters Agence Française de Développement, Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), European Commission, Fonds français pour l'environnement mondial (FFEM) and the French Ministry of Ecological Transition (MTE) 🌟 #GlobalMonitor2024

Last week, I attended the private sector forum session at the UN General Assembly on accelerating the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Struck by how many solutions businesses had either implemented or proposed. Clearly a time for action. #PrivateSectorForum #UNGeneralAssembly #Sustainability #ReimagineHealth
