CEO: We’re killing it with CRO on the website. But why the hell aren't we applying CRO to emails? CMO: (looks up from his "World's Best CMO" mug) Emails? That's... different. It's just... words and stuff. CEO: "Words and stuff"? Brilliant. That's why you're the CMO and I'm just the idiot who signs your paychecks. CMO: (Flustered) No, I mean... emails are for communication. Websites are for... converting. CEO: Sure, email is communication. But it’s also a conversion tool. Aren’t we missing something by not applying CRO principles there? CMO: Well, what would we even optimize? The font? Make it extra crisp? CEO: (Rolls eyes) Yes, because that's all we do on the website. Make things "extra crisp". Do you even work here? CMO: (Sighs) It’s just a different context. On the site, we can tweak layouts, buttons, paths. Email feels more... limited. CEO: We just need to do the same things that drive conversions on the site… Subject lines become headlines. Body copy becomes landing page text. CTAs become, well, CTAs. We're not reinventing the wheel. CMO: (considering) But the metrics are different. We can't track heatmaps in an inbox. CEO: (passionate) No, but we have open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates. It’s all there. We just need to dig deeper, and apply the same CRO mindset. CMO: (Leaning forward, intrigued) So what you're saying is that… we should treat emails like tiny websites? CEO: Exactly! CMO: Alright, let’s say we do this. How do we balance this without over-complicating our email strategy? CEO: Start simple. Identify the key emails that drive conversions—welcome sequences, abandoned cart flows. We optimize those first, just like we would a key landing page. Then we expand. CMO: I see where you’re going with this. We focus on the high-impact areas first. Test, iterate, scale. CEO: Now you're cooking! CMO: (Grinning) Alright, you've sold me. Let's optimize the hell out of our emails. CEO: That’s what I call a high-converting conversation! CMO: (Groans) Save the puns for the A/B tests, boss.

❌ STOP EMBEDDING VIDEOS IN YOUR EMAILS. WHY? E-commerce businesses, are you embedding videos in your emails? You shouldn't be. 85% of email providers don't support it, and it can hurt your deliverability. In fact, if you send emails with embedded video code, two things are likely to happen: 1. The email client will strip out the embedded code, and your recipients won’t see the video when they open the email. 2. Your email will end up in junk folders, and your overall deliverability will plummet. 💡 But don't worry! You may not be able to embed video in your emails, but there are various methods to ensure that people view it. Here's a step-by-step guide for making it easier for your subscribers to click on a video in an email: 1️⃣ Choose the right video hosting platform 2️⃣ Send viewers to a dedicated landing page 3️⃣ Design clickable video graphics 4️⃣Optimize your email copy Want to learn more about maximizing your video email marketing? 🤩 Follow for more tips and subscribe for free consultant to elevate your Marketing: https://lnkd.in/dAFcv4Yb #imp #impmarketing #digitalmarketing #email #emailtips ------ IMP Marketing - The profit-driven Digital Marketing partner for global Ecommerce businesses. 🌐 Website: https://lnkd.in/gd7sQUKJ 💡 Knowledge: https://lnkd.in/gDsu7JsK

Business Owners, Here Are Easy Ways To 4X Your Sales: Welcome emails are crucial for online stores. Surprisingly, 42.3% of them don't send one. Did you know that 75% of subscribers expect a welcome email immediately after subscribing to your mailing list? After making a purchase, most people open the first email they receive. According to Email Campaign statistics (Source: GetResponse), welcome emails have an average open rate of 68.6%. In fact, more than 8 out of 10 people open them. They also get clicked on a lot more compared to other types of emails, about 10 times as much. Welcome emails achieve an impressive click-through rate of 26.9% (Source: GetResponse). A series of three welcome emails can generate 90% more orders than a single welcome email (Source: Omnisend). Imagine missing the chance to connect with your customers and make more money. Here's what welcome emails can do for your brand: ✅ Boost open rates and increase sales. ✅ Create a positive brand impression. ✅ Educate customers about your products. ✅ Introduce your brand, building trust and loyalty. ✅ Let customers know what to expect from you, increasing the likelihood of them buying from you. Also Including offers in welcome emails can boost revenue by 30% per email compared to welcome emails without offers. Clearly, sending welcome emails is a smart move for any online business. P:S: Now, Do you think Welcome doesn't matter? Look at the Stats If there is anything that I left out on why businesses should start leveraging Sending Welcome Emails, let's hear it in the comments. #businessgrowth #copywriting #welcomeemails #linkedincreators

My favorite e-commerce newsletters (3...2...1... go!) The quality of a marketer is the sum of the content they consume. There's a lot of garbage out there, and garbage in means garbage out. Here are three of my go-to's for a healthy content diet (yum): Brian Balfour— Brian was the person who inspired me to start writing. Great writing starts with great thinking, and Brian is a master of both. He breaks down advanced strategies to their core so that you don't just learn what to do; you learn how to think. Eli Weiss— I have not found somebody more thoughtful in the retention space. His newsletter mixes direct tactics with a truly grounded philosophy on retention and customer experience. His last newsletter about his career story was one of the most inspiring pieces I've ever read. Cody Plofker— Cody balances direct growth tactics with an executive-level understanding of scaling a marketing org. It's one thing to know how to drive growth with hands-on keyboards. Maintaining that growth and commitment to the brand as the org scales is a whole other thing. He's one of the rare masters of both. Emily Kramer— Sneaking this one in because it is just so good. Emily writes about b2b, but her breakdown of growth tactics hits the core of what helps any type of company grow. It is the most in-depth and technical understanding of what drives product growth and how to scale it. Jeremy Horowitz'— The man is on a mission, and it's so fun to watch. Jeremy recently declared that he's going to acquire a business, and he's using his newsletter to share his story and hold himself accountable. His whole career has built up to this big swing, and his transparency is inspiring. There are so many more. Shoutout your favorites in the comments! 🙌

Two weeks ago, I wrote a negative review for a service company. That review now has 32 reactions and 7,679 views. Here’s what I learned: - People are doing their homework before making a decision. Reviews—both good and bad—play a huge role in how they choose who to trust. - Customers aren’t just reading reviews; they’re also checking out your website. It’s a critical part of the customer experience. - I’ve had potential clients on discovery calls mention that someone referred them but also made a point to read our Google reviews before reaching out. - They’ve often gone through our website, reviewed our pricing, and know exactly which plan they want before we even speak. Last week, I had a discovery call where a potential client mentioned they had already seen our pricing online. This tells me that customer reviews and a well-built website are key to building trust and improving conversion rates. In B2B marketing, your website and online reviews can make or break the first impression. #b2bmarketing #webdevelopment #wordpress

How to print money with a newsletter! Simple You need to approach emails like an E-commerce brand. Why? Well... In my experience with working with e-commerce brands. They're much more flexible, and they treat email marketing like an investment. They're not scared to set up 7 different flows. Of course, this is due to having a larger budget. However, you don't have to match their level of efficiency. As a creator, you don't need flows such as... - Browse Abandon - Cart Abandon - Site Abandon... These won't make sense for your business. Still... There are some essential flows that you must set up to maximize profit - Welcome Flow - VIP Flow - Winback Flow - Post-purchase flow (the twisted method) This way, you can make money while you're working out, sleeping, spending time with your family... etc. You just need to know the right things. I talk to a lot of creators on X. Most of them tell me that their newsletter is their number one source of income. This only proves that email marketing is a high demand skill. In fact, I think it's the best skill to learn right now.
