For those who know me well, it’s no secret: I’m a huge fan of college football. Recently, I came across an old lecture by the legendary Coach Saban. In it, he talks about what sets the best players apart. And he says it all begins with something simple yet incredibly powerful: the truth. But not just any truth—the real truth. Not the one you share out loud with friends, family, or colleagues. No, this is the truth you face alone, the truth you tell yourself when no one’s watching. The truth about your commitment, your dedication, your level of effort, and your involvement. Are you truly showing up, or just going through the motions? Did you do the work you promised yourself you would, or did you cut corners? This is about self-assessment, the kind that nobody else knows about. It’s not about excuses or justifications. It’s about holding yourself accountable to the highest standard, all the time. The best players, the best performers—they're the ones who face that truth every day (where legends are made). OG. #motivation #performance #grit #gym #fit #passion

Some people feel embarrassed about making non-work related posts on LinkedIn. Fearful of the ‘this isn’t Facebook’ joy-killers? 😂 Fortunately, I am not afflicted with any such embarrassment. So on Sunday night Cellmates Training and Assemble You went to Wembley, night 3 of Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’. Yes, 40 year old Swifties DO exist. I could make a lame attempt to tie this to some kind of deep business lesson and it wouldn’t hard to do. I might make a post about hard work, grit and determination. Or maybe a post about overcoming cancellation and adversity. Or maybe something about how to stand up to power. But I won’t. Instead I’ll just say, I’ve never seen anything like it. Love her or hate her, there’s no denying that this is the show to end all shows. It’s the set list EVERYONE wants there favourite artist to play - literally everything. For 3.5 hours. The best thing about the night though was the atmosphere she creates. If you could bottle the absolute joy in that stadium, you’d be rich. It was quite emotional to experience. We all need a bit of joy right now. Video below for anyone that’s interested in seeing what all the hype is about. Mainly lots of bad singing and dancing from myself and Adam Lacey 😂 Change res to 1080p. For some reason it defaults to low quality.

🌍 Today is World Suicide Prevention Day 🧡 Depression can make the world feel like a lonely place, but please remember—you are not alone. It’s okay to reach out for help. Whether it’s a friend, a loved one, or a professional, there are people who care and are ready to support you. 💛 Let's continue spreading kindness, raising awareness, and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health. Together, we can make a difference. 💚 #WorldSuicidePreventionDay #YouAreNotAlone #MentalHealthMatters #SupportEachOther
I’ll be honest with you… I’m only just starting to understand how LinkedIn works and I was slightly blown away by the incredible response to the post about what would have been Gary Speed’s birthday yesterday. I thought I would share the video I was asked to make for the 10th anniversary of his death and it seems quite poignant on #WorldSuicidePreventionDay I still get asked about Gary almost every week and I constantly get emails and messages from people who have been encouraged by this video. The week I filmed it was the same week I was in the latter stages of Strictly Come Dancing. I remember being sat in the dressing room on the Saturday night reading a message from a father who said he hadn’t taken his life that day because he’d watched the video. I will never forget that. I think about Gary a lot but I also like to use this as a reminder to reach out to others who might be struggling. Look out for your friends, keep an eye on them and ask them if they want to talk about anything. Life can be really hard but there is help out there and maybe watching this is part of that help that you or someone else might need ❤️ Feel free to share. Wow. This is a hard, but hugely important watch. If you know of someone who is, or suspect that someone is struggling, make the first move and go and speak to them. If you, or they are struggling to chat about how you/they feel, take them for a walk, look straight ahead so that you don't have to look each other in the eye and just chat, about anything at all, just chat. But if you have any concerns about them whatsoever, please try to be brave enough to ask them the most difficult but important question, "are you thinking about taking your own life?". You could be the difference between them thinking about it and doing it. #WorldSuicidePreventionDay Mental Health UK
