It is an honor to be part of this prestigious crowd. 🤩 Here are my first 3 tips in the article: 1) Transcribe meetings 📝 (if you are not already recording). This is a great new habit (with or without Copilot) to record what was decided. 2) Set your location 🏠🏢 - in today’s hybrid workplace it is good to know where everyone is working from 3) Create an avatar 💁♀️for meetings where you (for some reason) can’t have your camera on. This decision follows earlier actions in Europe, where Teams was detached from Office due to pressure from antitrust investigations by the European Commission, prompted by complaints from Slack regarding illegal tying practices. Teams, initially integrated into Office 365 in 2017 as a competitor to Skype, has gained prominence during the pandemic as remote work surged, offering robust video conferencing features akin to Zoom. Big news: Microsoft just dropped some major updates for Teams Phone and Teams Rooms, and trust me, you're gonna want to hear about them. First, let's talk about Teams Phone. Click-to-call is the feature I’ve been waiting for. Now, you can set up your website with a Teams Phone call button, making it really easy for customers to connect with you. Just one click, and they're chatting with a friendly rep via Teams Phone. How cool is that? And with the new side-by-side browser pop-out view and Copilot summaries, your employees will have all the info they need right at their fingertips. Customer service is about to get a whole lot smoother. Now, let's talk Teams Rooms. Intelliframe already gives you a crystal-clear view of your meeting attendees, and automatic camera switching is coming later this year. It uses AI tools to find the best camera view in the room. People using it remotely always get the best seat in the house as it moves around between attendees for a more realistic view. Plus, speaker recognition and voice isolation features are on the horizon, making meetings even smoother and more efficient. And last but not least, Teams Rooms will soon support Windows Autopilot, making device installation a breeze.
