I had the chance to speak to the ELX and AccelerateHER mentor circles about the journey of #Transformation and #Innovation over the past three years. We discussed how to separate "run" the business and "transform" the business to provide oxygen to #innovate and #transform retail. We shared our principles of the inverted pyramid. We went deep on how we are rapidly advancing to allow our associates to better serve our customers at Walmart. I'm always inspired by these incredible leaders, and I'm proud to watch them grow!

I just finished listening to an incredible interview by Corey Ganim and Steven Pope ,The Amazon Guy. One major takeaway that really resonated with me was Steve's approach to the early days of his journey: "The action dictates the strategy. The more action you take, the more strategy you have." 💡 Steve emphasized the importance of testing quickly and putting in the reps early on. It’s a reminder that while planning is essential, nothing beats the learning and growth that comes from diving in and taking action. I’m looking forward to seeing Steve as part of the speakers in the panel: The 8 figure Amazon playbook at Ecom North this Friday. It’s going to be another opportunity to learn from the best in the business! 🚀 #eCommerce #Amazon #Strategy #eComNorth #Leadership #Growth #TheWholesaleNetwork

Check out this article from the The Wall Street Journal. When re-energizing a struggling company or projects, success often lies in returning to your roots and focusing on the front line. The latest turnarounds at Boeing and Starbucks highlight key strategies for tackling difficult company transformations. Here are three takeaways: 1. Revisit Your Core Values: Leaders at Boeing and Starbucks emphasize returning to what originally made their brands strong. Identifying and doubling down on your unique strengths can guide a focused, impactful transformation. 2. Engage the Front Line: Both CEOs are prioritizing feedback from front-line employees to gain insights and build trust. Get on the ground and involve those closest to the work—they’ll provide invaluable insights and help shape the path forward. 3. Communicate Transparently & Frequently: Today, employees and investors want clarity early on. Make communication a continuous part of the process, sharing updates, challenges, and successes to keep everyone aligned and motivated. The supply chain is no longer just a support function — it’s a strategic powerhouse. As natural disasters and global trade issues persist, companies with supply chain-savvy CEOs are thriving. Leaders like Apple’s Tim Cook and Walmart’s Doug McMillon prove that high-level supply chain experience can drive resilience and growth. Forward-thinking companies are now elevating supply chain roles in the C-suite to ensure resilience, flexibility, and a competitive edge. When seen as a revenue-driving force rather than a cost center, the supply chain can truly transform business outcomes. https://lnkd.in/epFAmU5s --- ⦿ Partner with us in recruiting top executive talent in the value chain, technology, and logistics space. ⦿ Be at the forefront of relevant tech trends to drive change in supply chain & logistics with Supplify. #SupplyChain #FutureProof #Leadership #CSuite

Stop #6: We went "can-crazy" this week with not one, but two events featuring Price Chopper Supermarkets-Market 32. We learned from CAO Mike Miller at Slices with CEOs, and toured the distribution center for today's experiential. It was clear that Price Chopper puts the safety of their warehouse workers at the front and center of every business decision they make. At a time when injury rates at Amazon warehouses across the state are skyrocketing, it's great to see a local company investing so much conscious effort to keep workers safe. They understand that people are more important than productivity. Leadership Capital Region

As the day started, our Marketing team was inspired by a powerful reminder from Prashant Sinha's "Thought of the Day" - "Your Current Situation Does Not Have to Be the Last." This is relevant in all aspects - be it professional growth, personal development, or any other. And, a majority of us agreed to it. Many founders who initially faced multiple rejections went on to build companies that redefined their products and thrived in new markets. For example, Samsung, which is now one of the leaders in the electronics market and Amazon, which is a leading ecommerce firm, have their own motivational success stories. Each journey underscores the same lesson - "change is possible, and growth is limitless." So, never stop yourself thinking that it's the end or you cannot groom yourself any further. Anything is possible if you try achieving it. #MondayMotivation #ThoughtOfTheDay #Success #GrowthMindset #Resilience #Leadership

Love the analogy Alex Yaseen! It reminds of articles and the Pivot Podcast where Scott Galloway highlights that the new CEOs and future CEOs will be former COOs, Head of Operations or Head of Supply Chain because people are realizing value creation comes from the figuring out logistics and operations and getting products to the right time, to the right place and to the right people (https://lnkd.in/gkPpy9rw). I think currently, leadership and executives are increasingly looking towards supply chain to save on costs or figure out supply chain risks/disruptions (i.e. Red Sea, ports, etc.). While that's great and gets them a seat at the table, it's only half the equation. What I think the next step is to generate value. This goes from viewing supply chain and operations from being a cost center into a profit center. I think a lot of companies are still stuck at the cost saving mentality currently. If you hear about data, AI, automation, the common conception is being more efficient and reducing costs. Some ideas for potential value creation could be: ✅ Last-mile -> Same-day delivery, concierge, microfulfillment, white glove ✅ Returns -> Return policy, reverse logistics, resale and recommerce ✅ Delivery -> Robust tracking, claims management, customer service Let's get the discussion going! #supplychain #logistics #operations #leadership #CEO #COO #delivery #fulfillment #returns #reverselogistics
Ops teams pre-pandemic: 🛠️ 😵💫 Ops teams during the height of the pandemic: 👩🚒 🚒 Ops teams now: 🗣️💸 Supply chain, logistics, and operations teams are the new growth function for businesses. They’re a larger, louder, stronger voice at the leadership table than they’ve ever been before, and their role is changing from one that “keeps the lights on” to one that’s highly strategic—and contributing directly to amazing customer experiences. So stoked to see this critical line of business getting the seat they deserve.

🚀 Sam Walton: Made in America – Key Takeaways for Success 🛒 I recently revisited Sam Walton: Made in America and it’s packed with timeless lessons for anyone aiming to build something extraordinary. 💡 Here are the key takeaways and actionable insights that resonated with me: 1. His humility allowed him to continuously learn and improve. 🌱 🔑 Lesson: Never assume you know everything. Always keep the curiosity alive and keep growing. 2. Empower Your Team 👉 Sam believed that the strength of his company came from the associates working in his stores. Empowering them led to Walmart’s success. 🤝 🔑 Lesson: Treat your team like partners. When you win, they win – and that drives excellence. 3. Embrace Change and Innovation 👉 Walton was an early adopter of technology, helping Walmart reduce costs and offer better value to customers. 💻 🔑 Lesson: Innovation isn’t optional – it’s necessary. Adapt quickly, and use technology as an advantage in business. 4. Focus on the Customer 👉 Walmart’s motto was to deliver the best value to customers.
