***Gratitude Post**** 🌟 As I prepare to rest and recharge, transitioning to my next great professional adventure, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to PolicyLink and the amazing leadership of Dr. Michael McAfee and Ashleigh Gardere Thank you for providing me with the incredible opportunity to truly engage in my Soul’s work and to do this work in love and on purpose. Your guidance has inspired me to clarify my “why,” which has been instrumental in my journey over the past 11 months. Serving on the Bloomberg American Sustainable Cities Initiative has been a transformative experience, and I am deeply thankful for the chance to help build out the Partnership Tables—a collaborative network of government staff and community-based organizations in the Southern Jewels: Atlanta, Birmingham, Montgomery, Jackson, and Savannah. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Bloomberg Center for Public Innovation at Johns Hopkins University, Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), Delivery Associates, and the Sustainable Cities Fund, along with each consultant involved, for their unwavering support and their readiness to collaborate in driving impactful solutions. Your dedication and expertise have been invaluable in our shared mission. A special acknowledgment goes to the Bloomberg Philanthropies for their remarkable $200 million investment, which is instrumental in fostering innovative initiatives and facilitating policy changes at the critical intersection of climate action and racial wealth equity. I am particularly thankful for the city staff, including each Chief of Staff, City Director, and the incredible innovation teams in City of Atlanta, City of Birmingham, City of Jackson Department of Planning & Development , City of Montgomery and City of Savannah. Together, we have built a robust relational infrastructure that I am immensely proud of. I have every confidence that each of you will continue to champion innovative initiatives that not only prioritize the needs of our residents but also pave the way for a new generational direction for families in our communities. Finally, to my community partners—thank you, heartfelt gratitude to each of you: Kindred Futures, Sustainable Georgia Futures, Black Sustainability, Inc., Cool Green Trees, IMC Financial Freedom Project, CORNERSTONE REVITALIZATION FOUNDATION, Change Alabama, Pounds of Care, Beacon Center, OneVoiceMS, Jackson Redevelopment Authority, Minority Contractors of Mississippi, Step UP Savannah, @Georgia Coastal Indicator Coalition, and Harambee House. Every encounter has been a treasure trove of knowledge, and I’m continually inspired by your unwavering dedication to making a positive impact in your respective cities. The work you’re doing is not just remarkable; it’s transformative! Thank you for your partnership, your passion, and your relentless pursuit of change. I’m excited for all that lies ahead!
