The end of treatment shouldn’t mean the end of improvement. With Prism for PTSD™, many patients report continued improvement even three months after completing their treatment. By integrating the mental strategies learned in the clinic into their daily routines, Prism equips patients with a practical skill for managing PTSD symptoms. With Prism, treatment is just the beginning.

Did you ever feel like things just weren't right, but you couldn't put a finger on it? Since it couldn't be rationalized, you went along with it. It continued for a few days, weeks, months or even years. Until it came to a head. Only when it was magnified were you able to pinpoint the issue. Looking back though, you felt the signs early on. Experiences such as these can create symptoms of C-PTSD (complex- post traumatic stress disorder). Look at the difference between how PTSD and C-PTSD are formed in the picture below.

EMDR is such a powerful tool. For clients with PTSD, it opens the door to healing and peace. For clients with depression, it allows them to identify and resolve the adverse events that triggered it. For clients with addiction, it helps them get to the root cause and heal, reducing the need for addictive behavior. For clients with chronic pain, it helps change the relationship they have with the pain, making it more manageable. For clients seeking peak performance, it removes blocks and helps them activate strong adaptive resources. For therapists, it makes the job so much more rewarding! #emdr

Do you know someone who is suffering with upsetting reactions long after a traumatic event occurred; or, are you? It's normal to have upsetting memories, feel on edge, or have trouble sleeping after a trauma. Many start to feel better after a few weeks. For some, PTSD symptoms may start later, or they may come and go over time. If it's been longer than a month and thoughts and feelings from the trauma are still upsetting or causing problems in life, it may be PTSD.
