It's been a while since I started my role at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Rural Industrialization (MGIRI) as a Senior Scientific Officer, but I wanted to share this update with everyone.

In my current role, I have been deeply involved in the planning and strategic development of village industries, focusing on creating sustainable and energy-efficient models tailored for rural artisans. This includes the development and patenting of natural color shade cards for eco-friendly terracotta jewelry and Ganesh idols, ensuring our cultural heritage thrives in an environmentally friendly manner.
My work also involves spearheading the design and development of energy-efficient machines such as home-scale blungers, potter’s wheels, and solar wood lathes. These innovations are crucial in enhancing productivity and sustainability for rural artisans, empowering them with the tools needed for success.

In this role, I was responsible for planning and implementing the latest technologies in village industries across India. My efforts led to the successful establishment of innovative and sustainable industrial models, enhancing rural industrialization and community empowerment.

During my tenure as a Senior Scientific Officer, I established successful modules of artisan-based industries and filed nine patents for innovative machines suitable for rural areas. One of my notable achievements was developing a natural colors shade card, which plays a vital role in designing eco-friendly terracotta jewelry and clay idols.

As a Project Scientist, I focused on identifying problems in village industries and establishing successful models to address these challenges. I trained local manpower as designers and developed various products and machinery, such as potter’s wheels and kilns, contributing to the sustainability and growth of rural enterprises.

At BIT, I identified cluster problems and developed suitable machinery and equipment. I managed interface projects of MGIRI in Ranchi, focusing on cold storage, solar dehydration, and agricultural technology, contributing to the overall development of rural technologies.
