𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐃𝐢𝐝𝐧'𝐭 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰! 📅✨ Hey everyone! Today, let's dive into some fascinating calendar tricks that will change the way you organize your life! 🌟 Here are some cool tips and hacks that can make your calendar work smarter for you. 1️⃣ 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠: Use different colors for different types of events. For example, use red for important deadlines, green for personal events, and blue for work-related tasks. This visual organization makes it easy to see what's coming up at a glance. 2️⃣ 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠: Instead of just adding events, try time blocking. Allocate specific time slots for tasks like emails, meetings, and breaks. This method boosts productivity by focusing on one task at a time. 3️⃣ 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: Set up recurring events for tasks that repeat daily, weekly, or monthly. This saves time and ensures you never forget essential routines. 4️⃣ 𝐂𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬: Customize reminders based on the priority of the event. Use pop-up notifications for urgent tasks and email reminders for less critical events. 5️⃣ 𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐜 𝐀𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬: Sync your calendar across devices (phone, tablet, computer) for seamless access and updates on the go. 6️⃣𝐇𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬: Explore hidden features like calendar shortcuts and integrations with other apps (e.g., Google Tasks, Trello) to streamline your workflow. 7️⃣ 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐙𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: If you frequently work with people in different time zones, use your calendar to display multiple time zones simultaneously for easy scheduling. 8️⃣ 𝐊𝐞𝐲𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐬: Learn keyboard shortcuts to navigate and edit your calendar quickly. This saves time and reduces the need to switch between mouse and keyboard. Remember, your calendar is more than just a tool; it's your personal assistant in managing time and staying organized. Try out these tricks and let me know how they revolutionize your scheduling game! 🚀 . We start our weekly full-team meeting the same way: an open floor for "the three Ps." 1) Praise: We thank people on the team who did particularly good work (big stuff to tiny moments). 2) Pacts: This is my favorite one. When we start at Unify America, we agree to a "pact" with each other (in the handbook and all). It's an organizational-wide agreement that if I do something wrong, you’ll tell me, and if you do something wrong, I’ll tell you. (Maybe I left out an important perspective in a project kick-off, or I used the wrong data in an email. It's feedback, but it assumes positive intent AND makes our work much better.) So, we make a pact to look out for each other, and we celebrate when it happens. We don't always go into the details, but we say thanks — publicly. 3) Portals: We tell stories of lessons learned and celebrate the insights we got from failing. Our mistakes or wrong assumptions are shared as "portals of discovery," framed as things to learn from and appreciate. The first "P" felt more natural to me, but celebrating feedback and failure — actually celebrating them with our whole team — was not a typical office experience for me. Now it's usually the highlight of my week. We're fully remote, so these weekly digital moments do more than celebrate. They build a sense of safety and trust, and (for my business consultant friends) they increase our team's efficiency and speed. And in-person moments (hello, Montrose, CO!) are the cherries on top.

🌍 At Deep Media, we value physical interaction with each other while also being able to work remotely. Having offices in different cities, we are used to collaborating remotely. However, this means that some colleagues rarely cross paths during their workday. ☕️ Therefore, we utilize a team-building tool called the “Donut”, which schedules virtual coffee breaks by randomly pairing colleagues for a virtual coffee break. The Donut lets participants choose a few of their “favorite things” beforehand. This can vary from favorite desserts, music artists or even school subjects. Paired colleagues can see each other’s answers as an icebreaker for their conversation. 🍩 The tool enables colleagues to connect, share ideas, and build meaningful relationships through video calls – it's like grabbing a cup of coffee with a colleague, just without leaving your desk! By interacting with colleagues from different departments, we gain diverse perspectives, foster a culture of interdisciplinary cooperation as well as encourage a great team spirit. 🚀 Since we started using the Donut about a year ago, we enabled numerous successful coffee breaks, both virtual and offline. We recently conducted an internal survey and saw how much the Donut feature is appreciated! 💙 We are excited to continue exploring tools and instruments, that help us maintain a great sense of community and collaboration in this new work environment. #deepmedia #digitalmarketing #donut #teambuilding #remotework #employeeengagement #workplaceculture

This should be a rule of thumb for everything for businesses. Challenging the ‘we’ve always done it this way’ thinking can lead to good outcomes. #culture #genz #transformation
People transformation consultancy - offering consultancy, training, coaching with the goal of making inclusion a business critical issue.
Why do you want me to come into the office? This is the question that Gen Z is asking. And...spoiler alert 'bums on seats' isn't the right answer ;-) It's actually a really great Q. Why do you want your team in the office? Today - managers need to be intentional about office working - to make it make sense. If it's for collaborative working, and to learn what each other does - great. Be intentional about this and all generations will thank you for it. Have you thought about WHY you want your teams in the office on certain days? #GenZ #OfficeWorking #FlexibleWorking
