Back in 2016... I was offered Rs. 9 lakh CTC from a big corporate and Rs. 7 lakhs CTC from a Government company in #ICAI campus. Both offer I rejected because, I always wanted to have my own #CA office and also I was of firm mind I ll opt for #Corporate #Slavery only if I get #paid handsomely for the same. (#Money is important 😅) Today on #LinkedIn when I see that, the amount I was offered 8 years back has not increased to a CA fresher still in 2024. I fell really sad on the situation. The condition has worsen over these 8 years. The probable reason I think, in my opinion, CA #students are more focused to degree without practical #knowledge. Degree is most important but the essence of our #profession is that we are trained to be #industry ready as soon as we complete our CA exam. I myself take #interviews of CAs for many of my clients for #finance heads, #accounting heads position and I can say quality has slightly degraded. It might not be applicable for all but in general I am saying. The approach has changed drastically for CA students. They are more into glamour of Corporate #culture and has somehow lost the #authenticity of being a CA. The #world has changed and so we should also adopt but adoption of right things is important. Segregation of right and wrong is subjective and should be done wisely. You choose what you want a degree with zero knowledge or a degree (might b be little late) with sizeable knowledge and practical experience. Choose Wisely.
