Graeme Cumming’s Post

We will be hiring two postdocs this coming year, both with applications due in January (although if we need to, we will extend the deadline until a suitable candidate is identified). The first position is jointly funded between UWA and AIMS and will give the postdoc a lot of freedom in choosing an aspect of marine connectivity to focus on while interacting with a newly-formed group of experts who have skills in fisheries ecology, land/seascape ecology, oceanography, modelling, and network analysis (amongst others). It should be a fun and fascinating role. The job advert is here: https://lnkd.in/g8RFzCFd The second position is funded through the Minderoo Foundation and my fellowship. It will focus on understanding fisheries spillovers from Marine Protected Areas and developing fisheries models with stakeholders to understand potential benefits of MPAs. The job advert should be posted on the UWA web page listed below in early January (after not being posted this year despite my best efforts to move things along). I am happy to respond to enquiries about either position in January.
