Here are the most asked questions to how we are effectively going to use the funds. To how we plan on having a successful film. click the link at the bottom to help fund Scorned. To effectively distribute my film, I plan to leverage streaming services and film festivals. By tapping into popular streaming platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime, I aim to reach a wide audience and capitalize on the convenience and accessibility these platforms offer. Additionally, participating in prestigious film festivals like Sundance, Cannes, and TIFF can help generate buzz, attract attention from industry professionals, and potentially secure distribution deals. This dual approach allows for both broad exposure and targeted marketing, maximizing the film's visibility and impact. By strategically utilizing streaming services and film festivals, I hope to successfully launch and promote my film to a diverse and engaged audience. https://gofund.me/3a0bafd7

In the realm of independent cinema, there's often a choice between traditional theatrical releases and the modern streaming wave. 🎬 Some enthusiasts lean towards the big screen experience, enjoying the collective emotion of watching a film in a packed theater. It's a celebration, an event! Yet, this option can feel limited—many amazing films never get that stage they deserve and might vanish into obscurity. On the flip side, streaming platforms are democratizing access to indie films, giving every corner of the globe a chance to showcase their storytelling. 🌍 People love the convenience of pressing play from home, but that ease can sometimes drown out small gems in a sea of content, making them harder to discover. So, what can we do? Why not embrace both worlds? Imagine attending a local indie film festival and then discovering a treasure trove of those same filmmakers' works on your favorite streaming service. 🎥✨ To create this balanced approach: keep your eyes peeled for upcoming local film screenings and support them, while sharing your finds on streaming to spread the word. Let’s start those conversations! Talk to your friends about what you find, and engage with indie filmmakers on social media. Together, we can make both viewing experiences enriching. #IndependentFilm #StreamingCinema #SupportIndie #FilmCommunity #CINDIE

Broadcasters' contribution to European public film funding via some form of levy was still double that of #streamers in 2022, the most recent year of figures collated by the European Audiovisual Observatory | Observatoire européen de l'audiovisuel. The majority (63%) of the funds invested by a sample of 29 national film funds came from public sources, almost double that from levies (32%) - down from 40% in 2018. Levies on streamers & Internet Service Providers (#ISPs) combined generated the same contribution as #broadcasters in 2022. How did the funds spend the €1.6bn deployed 2018-22? Mostly (58%) on film production, with just 4% on development (script writing, etc) & 17% on distribution & cinema exhibition. Some have been advocating for #streamer levies to be introduced in the UK.
