🚀 We just hit a major milestone at Lightium, and it's got me thinking about something often underrated in the startup world—founders' chemistry. In corporate life, we navigate set roles; we perform tasks assigned by a boss and collaborate with colleagues. In an early-stage startup, the dynamics are dramatically different. It's not just about working alongside someone—it's about moving in sync with them. Here are a few lessons I've learned about this unique partnership: 1. Complement Each Other: Being complementary is easier said than done. Sure, it brings different perspectives and skills, but it also creates misunderstandings and biases. It's vital to truly understand how your cofounder operates and how their strengths can amplify your own. It took me and Amir some time to figure out this dance, but once we did, our startup began to thrive in ways I couldn't imagine. 2. Communicate Boundaries: Life doesn't stop when you're building a company. For me, it's crucial to be home from 5 to 8 PM to spend quality time with my kids. Sharing and respecting these personal limits has not only enhanced our work-life balance but also deepened the mutual respect between us. 3. Be Vocal and Supportive: A big shoutout to my cofounder, Amir H. Ghadimi! 🎉 Every milestone we achieve is a testament to his incredible dedication. I'm so grateful for his support and can't wait to see what we achieve together.
