Last month, our Kitchener-Waterloo team was moved to cheers and hopped on over to the local Oktoberfest celebrations. Always a group of consummate professionals, we thought it only fair that they indulge in some Prost-fessionalism and toast their recent accomplishments! #KitchenerWaterloo #Community #WeBuildDifferently

🎄 This Holiday Season, Let’s Build Longer Tables and Smaller Fences The holiday season is a time to create meaningful connections. For the past five years, my wife and I have hosted a Christmas driveway party for our street. It started as a way to share nibbles and laughs, but it became so much more. Neighbours who hadn’t met in years exchanged numbers, friendships were formed, and a supportive community was built. Extending the table isn’t just about one meal—it’s about creating spaces for connection, inclusion, and kindness. And it’s not limited to Christmas. Anyone can take this opportunity to bring people together, regardless of what they celebrate. 💡 How can you extend your table this holiday season? Invite someone new. Organise a casual gathering. Use technology to connect with distant loved ones. 📖 Read my blog for The Table Talk Project to explore how you can make the season brighter for someone else: https://lnkd.in/gTumaF4z Who could you invite to your table this year? Let’s start a conversation. 💬 #HolidayConnection #LeadershipThroughConversation #BuildLongerTables

Thanks to everyone for the continued conversation about the climate in downtown Raleigh and all the great ideas you have brought forth. Let's move into another era of a thriving Downtown. With all this being said I did want to take advantage of this attention for some self-promotion (I mean this is LinkedIn). What have we done to adapt and improve ourselves here at Crank Arm Brewing Company ? We have worked on overall customer experience. Increased training for staff members. Added health benefits for all employees who work over 20 hours per week including vision, dental, short-term disability and life insurance. Upgraded our POS to speed up check out times and to reduce paper waste. Worked closely with the Downtown Raleigh Alliance on the Sip n' Stroll social district and to add a Food Truck zone on Davie St. Added a spirits program that incorporates local beverage producers into our lineup. (We realize that not everyone loves beer) Added more weekly events including Music Bingo on Mondays, Trivia on Thursdays and a faster speed, longer distance ride on Sundays. Having more themed community events more frequently than twice a year or once a quarter. Added a community outreach specialist who's mission is to engage with local business and communities to find way to collaborate and to drive traffic to the tasting room. I am sure I am missing some things as there is a lot going on. Do you want to collaborate or host an event at Crank Arm? Let me know. Cheers Y'all!

Imagine this: you’re chilling at home in Fremantle or Joondalup, and the ultimate burger fix is just a delivery away. Yes, we’re talking Huxtaburger — the OG Melbourne burger legends. Juicy, flavour-packed, and always on point. And here’s a thought: if you owned a Huxta, not only could you satisfy those cravings on demand, but you’d be the one bringing that burger magic to your area. Delivering taste, owning flavour, inspiring people—all killer, no filler. So, whether you’re ordering tonight or thinking about bringing Huxta vibes to your community, there’s no better time to dive in. Own the taste. Bring Huxta home.

The Power of Community: The Magic of The Clifton Club and the Joy of the Season In a fast-paced world, the importance of community cannot be overstated. It’s not just about belonging; it’s about being part of something meaningful, where connections inspire, relationships thrive, and moments of joy are shared. Last night’s Clifton Christmas Light Switch-On was a perfect reminder of this. The atmosphere was truly magical—twinkling lights illuminating our beautiful surroundings, laughter filling the air, and a collective sense of celebration bringing everyone together. Moments like these showcase what makes The Clifton Club so special. More than a members’ club, it’s a community where tradition meets forward-thinking, and individuals come together to share ideas, celebrate achievements, and foster meaningful relationships. Events like last night’s light switch-on are a testament to the spirit of togetherness that makes this place so unique. For me, the magic of The Clifton Club is found in these shared experiences. It’s the chance to connect with inspiring individuals, celebrate the season with friends, and build lasting relationships in an environment that nurtures both personal and professional growth. Whether it’s a meaningful conversation over coffee, an exciting new collaboration, or the simple joy of a festive gathering, the value of community cannot be underestimated. Here’s to the festive season and to celebrating the beauty of community. Together, we illuminate more than just Christmas lights—we brighten each other’s lives. a few things i've learned since *entering* the community/ social impact space: 🧡 community CAN NOT be purchased. it can't. we're seeing it in the influencer space. community marketing is geared toward real people, with real feelings and real drive to share a love over a topic. you can not buy your way into this, but safely enter it by supporting what the community truly NEEDS. For example, I'm working in mental health and 60 free t shirts will not help us, pls sponsor our life coaches <3 🧡 genuine third spaces are hard to come by. a lot of money goes into renting space for people to gather because co-working spaces, bars/clubs, lounges, creative spaces are businesses at the end of the day. They also want a return which often looks like promoting for membership for their space. 🧡 working with brands that have mental health as one of their ethos pillars is KEY. you gain nothing pitching to people who don't have a community service or impact department. working with brands that are already doing work in your niche make collaborations seamless and remove that ugly feeling of "well what do i get for this" 🧡 your community isn't looking for fancy they are looking to gather. i held my launch party in my apartment building's community room (my building manager was NOT happy but hey...) and everyone LOVED IT. leave the big branded moments for the brands that can afford it and focus on the purpose of your gathering. What have you learned about the communities you're building or ones you're in? Or do you need to join a few? 👀 if you're in LA and searching for community outside of your work circles, want to go outside and touch grass or want to decenter yourself from work and make work life balance a priority, meet us when you're off worque! https://offworque.com/

You see a coffee cup and I see a vision with a future of building community with the community. The people in Braddock are Braddock's biggest asset as some of us have been here for generations. When Rachael explained her vision for Paradigm Global Innovations I was ecstatic. It still even energizes me to think of a community space with community input and community vendors. I explained to her about how I called every grocery store near and far proposing a small stationary market and most of them said, "no" even though the closest grocery store is almost 2 miles away and isn't walkable in a town that's heavily reliant on public transportation. So we put it in our vision to include some small healthy food opportunities in Paradigm Place. Paradigm Place is currently teaching two vendors how to navigate running a business with education opportunities in it. We're going to create more experiences and opportunities for small businesses and explore ways to activate the community. The role of Community Engagement Consultant just felt right for me. We want to create this space with community in mind that was the point of the community needs survey. Slowly and intentionally we're building out this space as most quick things don't last and don't include great intentions. Yesterday, as the Paradigm Team sat in the rain under an umbrella we smiled and said, "we'll remember this day years from now." And we surely will. "We get to make this space whatever we want to make this space. We have 3 more shipping containers." - Rachael Afolabi So very proud of Tori Hirsh and DeAndra Rose Holley. We're working on incredible things. #communityengagement #communitydevelopment #communitybuilding
