It's the best parts of all our lives, that's why it's a highlight reel. This stands for pictures on Instagram, new job updates on LinkedIn, and happy status updates on Facebook. Takeaway: social media shows you the best. People choose what you get to see. You see the best, the happiest. There's more behind the scenes. Have you ever been in a creative rut? It sucks! When the work you are doing feels like it has lost its purpose and you’re in cruise control, it kills productivity. I often mistake a creative rut with simply losing sight of my end goal. When you plan content, are you hitting your personal targets or are you setting empty goals that you know you won't be able to make? My content plan week to week is incredibly vague, I don’t run an active social media other than my X account, and I mostly focus on my articles. Are you breaking down content in a specific way? Do you have a list of do’s and don't(s)? DO✅: focus on the process of your content! DONT🚫: overwhelm yourself with the end product! Goal setting! It's an incredibly useful process that I know many consider arduous. I know content creators who blindly produce without an end goal in sight. This was me for almost a full calendar year of content creation. I wrote, wrote, and wrote until I crashed and burned, and I even defected to a bigger company and probably hurt a professional avenue in the process. It's not about the quantity of content I produce, it's the quality of what I produce that matters. I have to set goals in order to properly produce quality content. I have to map out my day-to-day and then week-to-week schedules before I set goals I want to achieve in the short term. Larger goals and long-term goals are typically month-to-month and annual goals. Just because it's August, doesn't mean you can set a large goal now and achieve it or come close by the year's end. So I have been working on my three websites now, for a couple of months. My first one which is a football blog is what this particular medium account is all about. I make all kinds of football quizzes, share updated league stats, sourced from around the internet, and so much more. But it got me thinking. When I started making my first Premier League football quizzes, I did just that. A football quiz, and nothing more. A whole page wasted on one football quiz, dedicated to a particular team. But surely I could do more. What if I added a little bit of info about the said football team? What if I added some interactive elements, that people could click on about their favourite football team, which I’ve included links to other awesome websites based around that particular club?
