Meet Willow, our state-of-the-art quantum chip. The new Willow chip has achieved groundbreaking milestones in error correction and performance. It's the first to show exponential error reduction as qubits scale, paving the way for large-scale quantum computers. Plus, it tackles the random circuit sampling benchmark in less than 5 minutes that would take one of today’s fastest supercomputers 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 years. Dive deeper into these incredible achievements and learn how Willow is bringing us closer to commercially relevant applications → https://lnkd.in/gmveekNb

The Willow Quantum Chip has shown that AI can reduce compute time effectively from infinity to zero. But what about the power consumption? Regardless, a historical technology achievement that could very well change the world. Whether Willow will solve political and social problems or just aggravate them is one question. Short term and long term social and political effects is another. The direct conclusion for now is that AI is quickening the pace of technology breakthroughs. Maybe from one a decade to 20, to one a month. Can technology companies keep running at that pace? Will the quantum effect be tangible in the short term to the everyday person? Will Willow significantly reduce worldwide energy consumption next year? Will it improve America's healthcare system? Will it stop the never ending churning of labor? Will the Willow Chip vastly increase the world's disposable income? Pay off the national debt? Will the Willow Chip lower the rising unemployment rate:? Will it solve the Bay Area's housing crisis?

Everyone is worried about the negative impact of AI. I'd be more worried about quantum computing and its processing capability in the hands of consumers. It's literally lightyears ahead of where we are today. The movie Transformers used as part of the Decepticon's nefarious bag of tricks. Far fetched in film but their fears are within the realm of possibility.

Imagine a Data Center full of these!

Sounds great! I hope it can one day render the Proof of Work algorithm obsolete, freeing our planet from #Bitcoin (and its copycats). This would release massive baseload energy capacity for valuable purposes like AI training or lowering electricity prices. Here's a financial tip to consider: Short #Bitcoin, disrupt it with your quantum chip, and profit from falling prices, while reducing CO2 emissions. To short Bitcoin, talk to BlackRock—they hold access to a large number of Bitcoins. Imagine the headlines: "Google Saves the Planet from Bitcoin!" An exciting goal to work toward—can’t wait to see such headline. Until it is technically possible, simply talking about such possibility helps lowering Bitcoin's price and with that it's CO2 emissions. I would love to see your comment on that.

Incredible breakthrough! Willow is a game-changer, bringing us closer to the era of large-scale quantum computing. The future is here!
