ADCOLOR 2024 — a conference celebrating the contributions of people of color working in tech and media — wrapped up last week in Los Angeles! Each year, the conference identifies people of color who’ve gone above and beyond to make a difference in the world of marketing and technology. This year, 6 Googlers were nominated for awards: Maryam Ikuforiji (product marketing manager), Layla Jawad (product marketing manager), Debby Erazo (product marketing manager), Gia Cummings (account manager), Olivia Hoeft (marketing manager), and Adrienne Hayes (VP of global subscriptions & customer growth marketing). While the specifics of each Googlers’ accomplishments vary, they all worked to promote diverse perspectives into their work. “I collaborate with teams across Google and YouTube to showcase diverse narratives and perspectives on our social media platforms," Debby explained. "This involves highlighting a wide range of stories, from exciting new local businesses featured on our Google Small Business channels to celebrating the achievements of diverse creators on our YouTube Advertisers handles. By leveraging the reach of Google products, we can amplify these voices and contribute to a more inclusive and representative online space." Congratulations to all of Google’s ADCOLOR 2024 nominees!

2dSorry I have to write a comment on the post, but there is no other option to attract attention. Google’s team in some departments has become just terrible. Google’s team 10 years ago and Google’s team now are two big differences. Google investors know how irresponsible their employees are towards the processes. In fact, here’s the answer - why Google often loses revenue and customers. About the problem: More than 2 weeks Google employees are moderating the account in "Google My Business" and as a result currently the account is on moderation, and the business is losing money. This deserves applause. As a result, advertisers have been forced to spend money on other platforms.
