In technology, there is no such thing as impossible! About 2.5 years ago, we faced a situation where we needed to export in a very specific subtitle format, but couldn't find any API that provided this format. Writing one from scratch seemed like it would take months. However, there was a Windows Desktop application that did exactly what we needed. Using robotjs, we set up an automation similar to RPA in a Windows Server, making it communicate with our Node.js server. This approach allowed us to tackle what seemed like an "impossible" need at the time. Of course, this wasn't a permanent solution. Later on, we completed development adhering to best practices. Managing technology not only requires building a solid infrastructure but also discovering potential workarounds can be incredibly valuable.
