I had the opportunity to be part of the Annual Conference of #WHEF2024 in Mumbai, and what a memorable experience it was! The event brought together an inspiring mix of leaders, visionaries, and ecosystem players, all working toward growth and progress while staying grounded in values and traditions. Being on a panel with accomplished co-panelist to discuss the role of ecosystem players and strategies for startup growth in Bharat was truly an experience. One of the highlights for me was hearing some promising startups pitch their ideas. The passion and ambition these founders brought to the table were a clear sign of Bharat’s bright entrepreneurial future. Here are some personal takeaways from the event: Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra, spoke with unwavering dedication about his vision for the state’s growth and the strategic plans his cabinet is implementing to drive progress. Shri Pramod Sawant, Honorable Chief Minister of Goa, shared how Goa is moving beyond its identity as a tourist hub to embrace industrialization, media, and other avenues while actively supporting new ventures. Shri Nilesh Shah, MD of Kotak AMC, gave a deep dive into India’s economic growth, increasing investor participation, and the critical role of risk management in safeguarding investments. Shri Ashish Kumar Chauhan, MD & CEO of NSE, shared how the Indian stock market continues to grow under his leadership, with a focus on protecting investor confidence. Shri T V Mohandas Pai, Chairman of Aarin Capital, left everyone in awe with his numbers-driven insights and his passion for India’s growth story. It was an absolute privilege to share the panel with brilliant minds like Amey Mashelkar and Satya Narayan Bansal, and the session was so thoughtfully moderated by Rajesh Sehgal, CFA. Being part of conversations like these, which are shaping the future of Bharat’s startup ecosystem, reinforces the importance of collaboration. Together, we can achieve so much more.
