Plan Your Day Today is the most important day in your life. It has the potential of changing your tomorrow and mending your yesterday. Let's see how we can make every minute of our day count. Because these minutes progress into hours, days, months, years and then future and purpose come to be. 📌Create your schedule preferably the night before. When arranging and carrying out tasks, begin with the urgent ones. That it is urgent doesn't mean it's important. Begin with the important ones that are urgent before moving to the ones that are not too important. Then you can use the remaining energy for the "not urgent" ones. You will need a "to-do" list to make this work. There are good apps that make this simple. 📌Your daily tasks should be achievable. You are not in competition with anyone. Set goals that their numbers won't wear you out no matter how well to try to achieve them. 📌Often we write out and plan our goals well such that whoever sees them gives us a "thumbs up" But at the end of the day, we don't achieve even up to half because of a lack of discipline and procrastination Should I say this indiscipline and procrastination stem from our ignorance of how wasted time can never be recovered again? Or how that our day holds our purpose? Make up your mind to be disciplined. I learned a lot from a friend when I saw her taking a screenshot of our daily goals and making it her screensaver every day. Since she is more of a screenperson, that will serve as a reminder. It's a beautiful step to curtail procrastination 📌Manage time wasters. To understand more of these, I recommend a very short article titled "10 Strategies for Better Time Management" By the University of Georgia Extension. Check the link in the comment section Until next time, let's continue to grow together. 𝟏𝟒𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐡 #PersonalDevelopment #GlowingPen #PlanYourDay #𝐃𝐚𝐲5

"Do you ever feel like you have all the time in the world? I used to think so. I'd tell myself, "I'll do it tomorrow." Or, "I'll get to it later." But then, years would fly by, and I'd look back and wonder where they went. Time is a precious resource. It's not something we can save up or earn more of. Once it's gone, it's gone. So why do we waste it? We think we can manage time. We set schedules, make to-do lists, and use productivity apps. But the truth is, we're not managing time. We're managing our lives. Think about it: When you say you don't have time to do something, what you're really saying is that you don't prioritize it. You're choosing to spend your time on other things. So how can we make the most of our time? * Be intentional. Decide what's important to you and spend your time on those things. * Set realistic goals. Don't try to do everything at once. * Prioritize rest. You can't be productive if you're exhausted. * Say no. It's okay to decline requests that don't align with your goals. Remember: Life is short. Don't waste it on things that don't matter to you. Live your best life." #timemanagement #time #life #wise #thisisyourforte #vulnerability #strength #speaking #goals #maketime #successful

I've just ignored my own advice 🤦♀️ This is the reality. Knowing what to do and actually doing it are 2 different things. Im pretty good with time management, but this week, i allowed myself to be distracted.👀 It's the children's school holidays and month end at work. I spent an evening looking into data recovery of a hard drive (full of my children's baby photos). I've given the home a decent tidy up. I've taken daily walks, met a friend, watched a movie with the family, and had a day out with my husband and the girls. It's been fabulous fun. So, what's so wrong with that you might ask? I dropped the ball when it came to my business. 😬 I'm now playing catch up, creating social media, updating client intake paperwork, and drafting up my schedule for the new week. 🙄 It's not impossible, but it is harder. "Failing to prepare is preparing to fail." - Benjamin Franklin Im not going to beat myself up about it. I know that life requires both discipline and spontaneity. I did allow the scales to tip, meaning i need to work harder this week to put it back into balance. The pressure does not have me working on top form. I much prefer a free flowing energy. How do you prioritise your days? #coaching #personaldevelopment #selfdevelopment #mindsetcoach #LifeCoaching #encouragement #livewithhappiness #takecontrol #takingaction #balancedlife #focusintherightplace #timemanagement

𝑳𝒆𝒕'𝒔 𝑾𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆 𝑺𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝑷𝒐𝒔𝒕 You might be spending time scrolling through social media feeds or binge-watching TV shows or movies. ⬇️ But as you continue with this post, you might find it both engaging and a valuable use of your time. ⬇️ Am I saying you shouldn't scroll through social media or binge-watch TV? ⇒ No, it's not that. Taking breaks helps you work better & come up with new ideas. ⬇️ But if your break is too long, avoiding important tasks with less important stuff is "a waste of time". ⬇️ While reading this post on your break, you might try to do important work too. ⇒But with endless multitasking, neither task may be done well. ⬇️ Now, after reading half the post, you might remember something urgent. ⇒But remember: just doing urgent stuff isn't great. It can tire you out, make you less productive & forget long-term goals. ⬇️ Afterall ,I'm writing this to assist you because helping isn't a waste of time. ⇒But remember, always being available for everyone else's tasks can sidetrack your own goals. ⬇️ I thought about writing and posting this, but I didn't spend too long planning it. ⬇️ This post of mine isn't perfect, but I didn't waste my time trying to make it perfect. ∴Don't waste time trying to be perfect or planning too much. ⬇️ If you learn something but don't know how to use it, you're just wasting time. ∴ Let's take a look at how and when to apply this. What did we learn and when can we put it into practice? #applications #learnings 1️⃣Take breaks, but don't let them distract you too long. 2️⃣Balance urgent tasks with long-term goals to stay on track. 3️⃣Avoid wasting time on perfection or over-planning. 4️⃣Apply what you learn; otherwise, it's wasted time. 5️⃣Don't let others' tasks sidetrack your own plans. 6️⃣Multitasking often leads to poor results. 7️⃣Breaks are good, but don't let them dominate your day. #whatinspiresme #creativity #psychology #NehasThinkTank #NehasCreativeCorner

A monthly ritual that changed my life (and may change yours). It helps me to zoom out and think creatively about the bigger picture. Inspired by Bill Gates Think Week from the 1980s, where he’d spend a week alone focusing on reading, learning, and thinking, I decided to adapt this idea to fit my busy schedule. While I couldn't dedicate a full week, I created the THINK DAY. - What is a Think Day? Pick one day each month (or quarter) to step back from your daily work. The ground rules : * Find a quiet place to be alone (mentally or physically). * Turn off all notifications. * Set up an out-of-office response. THE GOAL : Spend the entire day reading, learning, journaling, and THINKING. This helps you see the big picture and think creatively. - My essential TOOLS for Think Day : * Journal and pen. * Books/articles I've been wanting to read. * A quiet place (home, Airbnb, or outdoors). - Thinking question PROMPTS to spark my mind : Six useful thinking question prompts: * What are your strongest beliefs? What would make you change your mind about them? * What do you know now that you wish you knew 5 years ago? * How can you do less, but better? * Are you solving big, important problems or small, urgent ones? * What past actions make you cringe today? What will make you cringe in 5 years? * What would your 80-year-old self say about your decisions today? I dedicate an 8-hour window (a typical 9-5 day) split into 60-minute focus blocks with breaks in between. This slow, thoughtful pace helps me restore energy, notice things I missed before, and focus on what matters most. - Why SLOW DOWN to speed up? * Restore your energy. * Be more thoughtful with actions. * Focus on the most important opportunities. * Move slow to move fast. The Think Day can boost your productivity and creativity. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Hi LinkedIn Community, Are you having trouble accomplishing your long term goals?! . Well let’s start with some basics: . You can’t conquer the whole mountain until you put into practice some small habits. . Now I know you aren’t actually HIKING a mountain, but this same thinking can be applied to different areas of your life 💫 . Here are some simple habits you can introduce to your own life, that have been really helpful in mine☺️ . 1. Start your day with some morning movement like running, walking, weight training, or laying out a mat and stretching: the goal with this is to give yourself the opportunity to be present in your body and give your mind the opportunity to get in a position to conquer the day✨ 2. Fixing your bed everyday: I understand this can be hard, but dedicating yourself to fixing your bed each day is a worthwhile skill because you set yourself up for success. Plus, if you ever have a bad or stressful day at work, at least your bed is made by the time you get back and are ready to unwind🤭 3. Engaging in the process of blocking time in your day is KEY to becoming a more organized individual. How is it done? Well, you get a planner and you make specific blocks in your schedule of when your important meetings are and when you are working, as well as when you are taking breaks. When put into practice, this can help you outline what needs to be done, how much time you are going to allow yourself to work on things, and it gives you an opportunity to hold yourself accountable. 4. DRINK MORE WATER! Water is what keeps us satisfied and it helps with maintaining our focus in high intensity activities like working towards a deadline and when it comes time to present during a meeting 5. Reading a book: your eyes and your brain NEED a break, so give yourself the opportunity to engage in reading a physical book on topics that interest you or could help you elevate your career✨ . Let me know in the comments if there are any that habits I missed or if you found these helpful! . Sending loads of love and light your way, Karen Elena Peña 💫 #youngprofessionals #selfdevelopment

Hello Community👋 I wanted to share some insights I've gained after taking the time to learn more techniques about Time Management; First Let me talk about something extremely important: *Prioritize Health: Among our many responsibilities, keeping our health a top priority is essential. It's important to balance tasks with self-care. The most important thing I have learnt and I thought about sharing with you guys was about "Task Organization" Task Organization consists of categorizing tasks into 4 groups: 1-Urgent and Important: These tasks require immediate attention and are crucial for achieving your goals. For example, finishing a project due tomorrow, or dealing with a health emergency. 2-Important but Not Urgent: These tasks are essential for long-term success but don't need to be done immediately. For instance, regular exercise, learning a new skill, or planning for future projects. 3-Urgent but Not Important: These tasks need to be done quickly but don't significantly impact your goals. Examples include responding to certain emails or attending meetings that could be postponed. 4-Not Urgent and Not Important: These tasks can be minimized or eliminated as they don't add value to your goals. Examples include excessive social media browsing, binge-watching TV shows, or unnecessary meetings. By using this method, we can better prioritize our tasks and maximize productivity for a better quality of life. 🌟 #Students #Dreamers #Resilience

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗪𝗮𝘆 𝗧𝗼 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 ✍🏼 I talked at a university a little while ago. A common question that kept coming up was.. How do I overcome overwhelm? I asked them.. Do they teach you in university to plan your days, weeks & quarters? They said no. I said really? They said yeah. So I took them through a planning process. Here's what we did. 1️⃣ I got them to write out their weekly to-do list ✍🏼 2️⃣ Then number each task from most important to least important 🖊️ 3️⃣ Next they wrote down next to each task the time frame of how long each task will take ⏰ 4️⃣ After that they opened up their calendars and started time blocking 👊🏽 They put their most important big rocks first. Exams, assignments, lectures, study time ect… Next they picked 1-3 MITs (Most Important Tasks) to complete each day. They then made them priorities by putting them into their calendars. 5️⃣They followed a calendar system 🗓️ Every night they would plan the next day. They made a plan for every hour of the day. Now all they had to do was follow the calendar system. If something else came up. They had to move that time block to a different day/time. 6️⃣ They didn't reply on motivation 🏃 Motivation doesn’t come from wishing or clicking your fingers. Motivation is a ‘doing word.’ You must know where you are going. Have a goal and a plan. To see a result which then keeps you motivated to continue. The most common cause of overwhelm is not feeling in control. When you have a plan and you can visually see what’s coming up throughout the week… You will automatically feel more at peace. It doesn’t matter if you’re a university student or a business owner. Planning is absolutely essential. Want support installing our signature planning system? Message me the word “HABITS” and let’s chat to see if it would make sense for you to join the happiness formula🌴 #habits #planning #timemanagement

Are You Trading Your Life for Things That Don’t Matter? If every moment you spent was a non-refundable piece of your life, would you change how you spend your day? In today’s fast-paced world, distractions are endless. We’re constantly trading our most valuable resource—time—for tasks that often don’t bring us closer to our goals. But what if we could change that? Research shows that it’s not about being busy; it’s about being deliberate. Studies on focus and productivity reveal that people who immerse themselves in activities that align with their true purpose not only achieve more, but also feel more fulfilled. As psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi pointed out in his work on “Flow,” happiness isn’t about doing more—it’s about being deeply engaged in meaningful tasks. The real question isn’t how many hours you work, but what you’re exchanging your time for. When you align your actions with your core values, you’re no longer just trading time for tasks. You’re investing in a life filled with purpose and satisfaction. Every minute spent on something that doesn’t resonate with your true goals is a minute of your life exchanged for something less than you deserve. So, how are you spending your time today? Is your time moving you closer to the life you truly want? I challenge you—audit your day. Share one thing you’ll stop doing today to focus on what truly matters. Let’s make every moment count. #TimeWellSpent #MindfulProductivity #LeadershipDevelopment #FocusOnWhatMatters #FlowState #PersonalGrowth #DeepWork #MaximizeYourPotential #LifeLessons
