#WorldOralHealthDay 20th Mar On the 20 March every year, we ask the world to unite to help reduce the burden of oral diseases, which affect individuals, health systems and economies everywhere. Its purpose: to empower people with the knowledge, tools and confidence to secure good oral health. Our next 3-year campaign starts now! “A HAPPY MOUTH IS…” offers a simple yet powerful way to capture the multifaceted nature of oral health in a concise and relatable manner. The 2024 campaign focusses on the intricate link between oral health and general health because: “A HAPPY MOUTH IS… A HAPPY BODY.” We want to empower everyone, everywhere to value and take care of their mouths and understand that by doing so, they can also protect their overall well-being. How to brush & boogie - Grab your toothbrush and toothpaste (make sure it’s fluoride toothpaste). - Turn on your favourite tune. - Then brush and boogie like no-one is watching. - Clean all the sides and surfaces of your teeth to the rhythm of the beat. - Before you know it, your 2 minutes brushing time will be over and you won’t want to stop! - Create your own brush and boogie playlist and share it with family and friends to help brighten up their day too. https://lnkd.in/gFtfE9Wd

World Oral Health Day, observed on March 20, emphasises the critical link between oral health and overall well-being. Maintaining a healthy mouth contributes to a happier body. Did you know that 3.5 billion people suffer from oral diseases globally? These conditions, if left untreated, can lead to pain, discomfort, and even impact systemic health. The day underscores the interconnectedness of oral health with broader health outcomes. Raising awareness is crucial, as preventive measures, regular dental check-ups, and proper oral hygiene significantly reduce the risk of oral diseases. On this day, let's promote oral health education, encouraging everyone to prioritise their smiles for a healthier and happier body. #AllianceHealthcarePK #OralHealth
