"Mobile is king!". Is it? Here are some very interesting results that our experts pulled out from thousands of transactions around several countries (UK, DE, FR, ES) to actually understand who is the king (desktop or mobile?) in different countries, when the king is most powerful (days of the week and hours of the day) and where (online or brick & mortar). Before making a claim, like "mobile is the king", or "people don't shop on mondays", or "best day for shopping is saturday" it's important to understand the full context. Enjoy this super insightful study!

T-Mobile's 'Un-contract' Promise Unravels as Price Hikes Shock Customers: T-Mobile's recent price hikes of up to $5 per line on older smartphone plans have left many customers shocked due to the company's previous "Un-contract" promise. Announced in 2017, T-Mobile pledged never to change the price customers pay for their plans. However, a now-removed FAQ revealed that the guarantee only ensured T-Mobile would pay the final month's charges if prices increased and customers chose to leave within 60 days. The price increases affect various plans, despite T-Mobile's earlier promises of "no crazy strings, no hoops to jump through, no hidden fees, no BS." Read more of this story at Slashdot.

Hard to believe it was 2012 we started our adventure into the world of Near Field Communication (#NFC) when only an Android mobile would read an NFC tag and you would turn up to meetings to explain NFC and all the executives would have an iPhone in their pockets! Since then Apple have embraced NFC not only for payments, but for launching a URL from a tag without an application. This has helped NFC go from public obscurity to pretty much being a part of our everyday lives. It is now used as a strategic technology for asset tracking, identification, games interaction, marketing, health care and brand authentication with too many others to mention. You may have seen the latest craze of #Google #Review cards used to help build your business reviews. These cards use NFC and where originally only one company sold them, there are now many more providing this service. To help you create your own for very little cost, we created a post to explain how to do it! https://lnkd.in/eRYmDT-E We have seen many NFC trends since starting out, and a current one that is interesting is where people need to use NFC for asset tracking and the identification of smaller and smaller items. To do this they need smaller NFC tags or products which is possible, but the challenge is how readable the smaller NFC tags are using a mobile phone. The NFC reality is that the smaller the antenna, the harder it is for a mobile to read the tag, but with the latest designs and PCB alternatives we have found neat solutions to the problem. Our smallest NFC tag is 6mm round by 0.7mm deep which works perfectly and companies are putting them in all sorts of objects. We also have small cable ties that have an amazing reading distance and are being used widely in the construction industry. That is enough on a Friday, but if you want to have a look around at our current stock items please do and remember that we've clients we've worked with for over 12 years and for whom we make custom built NFC products of all shapes and sizes. Visit https://zipnfc.com from more information. Get in touch if you are interested in the potential of using #NFC in your organisation or for your clients.
