So, the news is finally out! We got a new Alegro binder... We are one of Ireland's largest sheetfed printers, and as such, we are constantly looking for ways to increase productivity and ensure that we are in the best possible position to deliver for our customers. We're currently installing an Alegro binder from Muller Martini at our 125,000-square-foot Belfast site. We will be able to organise our production much more efficiently after investing in the Alegro binder, which replaces the old Heidelberg perfect binder. "Our print runs and volumes are constantly increasing, and the demand for our services is growing all the time," explains GPS Director David Bell during his visit to the Müller Martini booth at the drupa – no. 1 for printing technologies show. "That's why we're looking forward to this efficient perfect binder, which we expect will triple our productivity." This machine equipment allows GPS to simplify its production processes, which is a significant advantage given Ireland's skilled labour shortage. Zecher anilox sleeves - a lightweight with durability, precision and reliability 🚀 Due to the lightweight aluminum body, the sleeves are significantly lighter than conventional anilox rollers. This makes handling easier, reduces set-up times and enables a faster response to printing requirements. However, proper handling is essential in order to avoid damage. Sandon Global and XSYS enter strategic partnership Sandon Global, the award-winning British anilox manufacturer, has entered a strategic partnership with XSYS, the prepress solutions provider, to combine its expertise to help flexible packaging printers achieve higher opacity whites at no additional cost.  technology to deliver improved quality that brings operational, financial and sustainable benefits for flexographic printers.  In recent trials, Sandon Global’s High Volume Process (HVP) and Fluid FP anilox engravings combined with XSYS’ Woodpecker Nevis surface screening technology demonstrated that the same quality opaque white coverage could be achieved using lower volume anilox.
