World Day Against Human Trafficking, observed on July 30, 2024, aims to raise awareness about the critical issue of human trafficking and galvanize efforts to combat this global crisis. This day emphasizes the importance of preventing trafficking, protecting victims, and prosecuting traffickers. The theme for this year’s World Day Against Trafficking in Persons is #LeaveNoChildBehind. Human trafficking ensnares individuals in various ways, but the outcome is consistently devastating: they lose their rights and identity, becoming victims of exploitation and abuse. This issue spans the globe, forming a highly profitable industry that rivals the illicit trade of drugs and arms. @wearePACT For Canadian-specific data and information, please visit: Canadian Centre to End Human Trafficking. 👉 https://bit.ly/3WtApCX Canadian Human Trafficking Hotline. 👉 https://bit.ly/3LuEQXV #LeaveNoChildBehind #ProtectAllChildrenFromTrafficking #EndTrafficking #WeArePACT #WorldDayAgainstTraffickinginPersons

On October 24th, the Montenegrin Women's Lobby hosted a crucial conference titled "Prevention of Labor and Sexual Exploitation as a Form of Human Trafficking in Montenegro" at the Hotel Princess in Bar (ME). In the framework of the Multi-donor action EU4FAST, this event brought together key stakeholders, including representatives from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and various local NGOs. Pressing issues surrounding human trafficking, focusing on labor and sexual exploitation were discussed. Throughout the conference, participants engaged in vital discussions about: - Enhancing multi-sector cooperation - Recognizing indicators of exploitation - Timely victim identification and support - Advocating for victims’ rights during legal proceedings A significant takeaway was the urgent need for transparent collaboration between institutions and NGOs to share critical information and respond effectively to the needs of victims. To strengthen our efforts against human trafficking, we must improve prevention systems, refine victim identification indicators, and enhance institutional coordination. Together, we can better protect the most vulnerable among us, especially women and children, who represent a large portion of trafficking victims. Let’s continue to work together towards a future where everyone is free from exploitation! 💪❤️ #HumanTrafficking #Montenegro #Prevention #Collaboration #GIZ #WomenEmpowerment

**Hereward Security Solutions Stands Against Human Trafficking** The United Nations has declared that every day, in every country, human traffickers exploit people for profit, particularly those who are poor and vulnerable. With statistics showing that over 70% of trafficked individuals are women and girls, and nearly 33% are children, the fight against human trafficking is essential. Today marks World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, a day dedicated to increasing public awareness about this tragic crime and grave violation of human rights. On July 30th, we join people around the globe to recognise the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. This year's theme implores us all to "Leave No Child Behind in the Fight Against Human Trafficking." This day aims to involve more people in prevention and protection measures, encouraging collective action against human trafficking. **History of World Day Against Trafficking in Persons** World Day Against Trafficking in Persons was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2013 to raise awareness and promote the rights of trafficking victims. It serves as a call to action for governments, organisations, and individuals to strengthen efforts in preventing trafficking and supporting survivors.
