With the potential of SEO errors scaling *very quickly* on a larger-scale site, I would be very, very careful with trusting an LLM for SEO advice. And at least the follow-up question prompted Gemini to return better advice about disavowing. And you already know where I stand on that topic! :) -> Google's John Mueller: Don't Use LLMs For SEO Advice #google #seo #ai

Ok, so Google changes its algo all the time, but this one - it could completely change the landscape for SEO. According to Prolific North https://rb.gy/vgnr1d, they are on with the rollout of Google Search Generative Experience (SGE). With this, there will be AI generated content delivered within the search results. This could be the biggest change in at least 10 years. What it means for SEO and any rankings companies have at the moment is unknown, but things are going to change (again 😁 ). If this does happen, what we do know is that we will be adapting and learning all new SEO strategies to keep ranking at the top of SERPs.

"If there was a time before SEO, there will be a time after SEO." - Google Search Advocate This is not the kind of thing I would normally comment on, but it feels misjudged and misses the wider context. The ironic truth is, SEO, or some version of SEO will likely always exist, but it might not be Google SEO. If there was something that could really trigger people to look for alternatives to Google, it's this kind of thing. If AI overviews doesn't improve, it has a real chance of triggering a search engine market proliferation. And for users, that could be a very good thing. Yes - users might want quicker answers, fewer clicks, but they want those answers to be factual and trustworthy, not inaccurate and stolen. #SEOisDEADagain

Interesting stat for you... searches for "AI SEO" almost double those for "SEO Consultant" What can we read from this? Does it: A) Show that businesses are starting to investigate AI-driven SEO solutions for their website, as opposed to human-driven SEO? B) Are the SEO experts themselves the ones searching for "AI SEO" to increase their own efficiency? or C) Something else? I'd be interested to hear from the SEO experts here; are your clients now talking about AI more in their conversations with you? And if so, in what context do they talk about it?

It's not a secret that I am MostlyMarketing's biggest fan. Hanging around ethical SEO professionals has made me very mindful about how to use generative AI tools and not get swept up by Google's latest core and spam updates. If you know nothing about SEO and constantly get bombarded by "SEO experts" offering 1000s of backlinks and quick ranking, be very cautious because these "services" are literally what can tank your website permanently: https://lnkd.in/dsnPxbwj #b2bmarketing

🔍 Google’s March 2024 Core Update: 5 Key Insights Google's recent core update is shaking up the SEO landscape and I have also experienced it with my SEO clients. Here is a summary of the current updates that are highly affecting SEO. 1. Deindexing Surge: Many sites vanished from Google's search results post-update, emphasizing Google's drive to eliminate low-quality, irrelevant content. 2. Swift Penalties: Sites faced immediate penalties without prior notification, leaving owners scrambling for solutions. 3. No Immunity for Old Sites: Even previously untouched websites are now susceptible, signaling a shift towards quality content over legacy. 4. E-E-A-T Matters: Sites lacking Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness, and outdated or error-filled content, faced repercussions. 5. AI Content Scrutiny: Small AI content sites were not spared, highlighting Google's focus on content quality regardless of origin. This update underscores the importance of adaptation in the digital domain. If your site is affected, please conduct a thorough audit and address issues as soon as possible.
