For our company this means annual Gotta Love Champions Awards and quarterly President's Awards. However, we remind managers to praise in public whenever possible and appropriate. Recognizing good work when it is done, and when someone has gone above and beyond is part of good leadership. Regularly acknowledge and reward employees for their hard work and contributions. This can be through formal recognition programs, bonuses, promotions, or simple verbal acknowledgments. Recognizing employees' efforts boosts morale and loyalty. glcbs.com #bpo #businessoutsourcing #employeeretention #employeeturnover #tipforMonday #MondayMotivation

Here's something I'm noticing that I'm not too thrilled about: it seems like many companies are moving away from the all-important award ceremonies. What happened to taking a moment to recognize our peers with medals, MVP awards, and Top Gun trophies? Let's talk about this trend and its impact. I firmly believe that stopping to recognize our peers not only boosts individual morale but benefits the entire team. Everyone knows they'll have their chance to shine, fostering camaraderie and alignment. These moments of recognition can be the motivating factor that separates truly excellent companies from the rest. So, what do you think? Are award ceremonies still valuable, or have they lost their place in the modern workplace? Not everyone wants the trophy. What they want is APPRECIATION. Trophies don’t do the same things for everyone. Almost half of employees say they don’t get meaningful recognition at work (*nectar). What’s that do? If you kept making great dinner’s for your family, and you feel unappreciated, are you going to keep doing it? Nope. Pretty soon it’s PB&J dinners. Giving people meaningful reward & recognition builds stronger engagement, and that leads to discretionary effort and so much more. Which would you rather have? Need more? Let’s set up that free consultation to see where you’re at. #leadership #managertraining #businesscoach #employeeretention #recognition

A key trait of successful leadership is consistently focusing on how you make your team & customers feel. Loyalty is earned by showing up for them day after day. Be reliable, supportive, and always lead by example to build long-term trust. ⭐ Danny Meyer Union Square Hospitality Group #Loyalty #DannyMeyer #LeadershipConsistency #BuildingTrust #HospitalityLeadership #CustomerLoyalty #restaurantbusiness #restauranttech #foodandbeverage #foodies #leadership #restaurantowners #restaurantmarketing #restaurantindustry #restaurantowner #restaurantmanagers

Being a leader is a responsibility and a privilege which gives you the power to impact others positively or negatively. On a road trip with my family and stopped to have lunch at a fast food restaurant. The manager on the loud speaker asked for everyone’s attention to announce two promotions. He thanked them for their hard work, said their names and everyone inside erupted in applause with the two promotees beaming. It reminded me that how we treat others matters and those small moments of appreciation make a difference. With the climate in business and the world today hope leaders can get back to basics and realize, deep down, that their team just wants to feel seen and appreciated. #leadership #teamwork

Ever promoted a shining star, only to see them stumble? Let's be real, we have all done it 🤚 For #CEOs and #bizowners, promotions aren’t always the answer. It’s not always clear-cut. Promotions are not always the best reward. Sometimes, they lead to roles people don’t want. Or roles they aren’t good at. Instead, consider other ways to recognize your team. Public praise, bonuses, or more responsibilities they enjoy can work better. Ask yourself: Are you promoting your team the right way? #Leadership #EmployeeRecognition #BusinessGrowth

Happy Monday! Two weeks ago, the Maitri Leadership team gathered at the iconic and beautiful PNC Park for a refreshing session on team goal setting. It was an enriching experience to engage with fellow leaders and brainstorm strategies to uplift and celebrate each individual's achievements through SMART goals. Such interactions not only foster a culture of recognition but also drive us towards our collective and personal milestones with clarity and purpose. #LeadershipDevelopment #TeamGoals #SMARTGoals

Okay leaders, 66% of your team is ready to walk if they don't feel valued. Yikes! Time to stop treating everyone like you want to be treated. The Platinum Rule is the new bling that treats people how THEY want to feel valued. Let's get those retention numbers UP! #leadership#platinumrule#employeeengagement#workculture#teambuilding

Almost everyone COMPROMISES candor when it matters most. And almost everyone is UNAWARE of this fact. But how do you create this awareness in yourself and others? We’ve helped tens of thousands of people realize this through a tool that can take as little as 20 minutes to complete. You can find a primer on it in my Georgetown University keynote that I’ve linked below!
