I'm honored to be asked join the #Diaceutics Precision Medicine Economic, Policy, and Operations Global Summit on May 1st in Belfast, Ireland (with hybrid/virtual attendance too). Those of us #unicorns who work in #biospecimen management in #clinicaltrials have seen a lot - specimens that are not collected when they should be; are not of sufficient quantity or #quality for a good test result; aren't turned around (ie tested) within timelines... I could go on. I have routinely explained to executive leaders across pharma that this is not a 'clinical trial issue' - it reflects the larger state of healthcare practice. Nonetheless, even I was surprised to learn that a whopping 64% of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients in the US may not receive the best treatment for their disease due to (in part) these types of practice gaps. We can do better. We must do better! Please join us in this discussion on how to close these gaps and ensure patients get access to the precision medicines they need. Link is below!
Diaceutics is delighted to announce an open invitation to all stakeholders in precision medicine to be part of a landmark collaboration addressing the economic, operational and policy barriers preventing patient access to precision medicine. This hybrid global summit will be held on May 1st 2024, and provides a unique opportunity for all members of the precision medicine community to play a role in shaping the future of precision medicine. Today, at #ADLM2024, researchers from the UC San Diego School of Medicine will present the latest evidence from a recent evaluation of Truvian’s multi-modal #BloodTesting platform. 🩸 Their independent study, titled “Advancing Point-of-Care Testing: Independent Evaluation of the Truvian Platform,” focused on comparing the performance of Truvian's blood testing device to FDA-cleared devices found in central laboratories. 🔬 Findings show the accuracy of Truvian’s device is highly comparable to centralized testing and demonstrates a high degree of reliability. They also support a growing body of evidence that the future of routine blood testing will be defined by automated, benchtop systems that provide decentralized diagnostics anywhere you go. 🌐 Stop by and learn more about Truvian and see a demo at the ADLM Expo, Booth #3055. See the poster presented by UC San Diego School of Medicine from 1:30-2:30PM at Poster #A-323. 📍 More information about the independent study 👇 https://lnkd.in/gCgWkeXf #Innovation #Healthcare #Diagnostics

Publication of the clinical practice gaps in NSCLC in JCO Nov 2022 was a watershed moment for many of us in the industry. Since then many have asked about next steps and actions to support closing the gaps and reducing the number of patients denied access to precision medicine treatments. Today I am delighted to announce the privilege I have had to co-chair a multistakeholder working group “the Economic Forum” working over the last year to follow up on this landmark work. Working alongside dedicated experts in the field of precision medicine to identify powerful real-world solutions which will accelerate change. The output of the Forum’s work will be shared and discussed at a live event May 1st hosted by Diaceutics. We invite everyone from across the precision medicine community passionate about better testing and better treatment to actively participate with us on our Summit. --> Sign up for free using the link below. One Saturday spent with a huge number of healthcare professionals in Genoa attending the regional Fismad Congress of 2024. Very interesting lectures about updates in GI space, including clinical guidelines, KPIs in highly operative topics like hepatobiliopancreatic procedures and advances in complex resectional ones #bostonscientific #advancingscienceforlife
