Last week I embarked on my journey as a professor at MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® in Innsbruck, teaching AI-Driven Entrepreneurship. All the students are there because they feel that "AI is the future", and the most interesting part is that they are coming from very different backgrounds and Bachelor Studies - Mechatronics, Business, Tourism, Engineering and more. As we were discussing the topic of SWOT analysis of a business, I was struck by a discussion about Climate Change. Climate Change was put in the Threats quadrant for a business we were discussing, but some of the students argued that it can also be seen as an Opportunity. ...and from a logical perspective, I couldn't really go against this statement. But looking outside the window of the classroom and seeing the beautiful Alpine landscape... I really felt a punch in the stomach thinking about climate change as an opportunity. It made me wonder: should we continue teaching these "standard" methods of analyzing business opportunities, or should we pivot completely? Yes, there are tools like the Sustainable Business Model Canvas and the Regenerative Business Model Canvas. Yet, the KPIs for entrepreneurial success are often still centered on revenue, valuation, and IPOs. And can AI help changing this perspective? Or again are we just working with AI for cost-saving, short term ROI etc?

Are you riding the AI wave or being swept away by it? 💡 The evolution of artificial intelligence is not just reshuffling the deck; it's playing a whole new game. As a small business strategist and entrepreneur, delving into AI has been an enlightening journey - one that has significantly shifted my approach toward business strategy and product development. In 2023, I took a leap into the deep end with the Udacity AI Product Manager course. It was an investment that stretched my budget but unfolded as an invaluable pivot in understanding how to navigate the startup world with AI at the helm. The real kicker? Training AI models for health diagnostics led me down a path of financial learning curves, reminding me that innovation requires not just vision but vigilance. Simultaneously, pursuing an MBA online through Quantic School of Business and Technology underlined the transformative power of education. It honed my leadership skills and pushed me to excel in team environments—culminating in a capstone project that received top marks and provided practical insights into effective business planning. This journey underscores a critical message for anyone in business today: continuous learning is not optional; it's essential. The landscape is evolving with technologies like AI reshaping industries at breakneck speed. Whether it's formal education or hands-on projects, staying ahead means committing to grow your knowledge base. So here's to all entrepreneurs and small business owners: Let’s embrace these changes head-on. Upskill, adapt, and be ready to pivot. The future belongs to those prepared to innovate and learn relentlessly. How are you ensuring your place in tomorrow’s market? #AI #Entrepreneurship #BusinessStrategy #ContinuousLearning

🚀 Empowering the Next Generation: The Intersection of Entrepreneurship, AI, and Virtual Reality 🚀 The integration of virtual reality and artificial intelligence is not only changing industries but also drastically changing our conceptions of entrepreneurship and education in the rapidly evolving digital world. With technology poised to undergo a technological revolution, it is imperative that we foster an entrepreneurial mindset in our undergraduate students. Why? Because tomorrow's entrepreneurs will need to be proficient in technology, creative, and nimble—ready to harness the potential of virtual and artificial intelligence to solve challenging issues, add value, and spur long-term growth. Not only should they be taught knowledge of business, but they should also be developed into critical thinkers, problem solvers, and visionary leaders who can succeed in an environment that prioritizes technology 🔍 The Role of Educators and Institutions Our role as institutions and educators is crucial. It is our responsibility to accept these technologies, incorporate them into our instructional strategies, and equip our students to not only survive in the future but to actively shape it. This calls for the development of a culture that values innovation as the rule rather than the exception, fosters entrepreneurial thinking, and views failure as a teaching opportunity. I invite my fellow educators, industry professionals, and technology enthusiasts to join me in this vital discussion. How can we better integrate AI and virtual technology into our curriculums? What initiatives have you seen or been a part of that effectively foster an entrepreneurial mindset? Let's share insights, collaborate on initiatives, and work together to equip our undergraduates with the mindset, skills, and knowledge they need to succeed in this new digital era. #EntrepreneurialMindset #AIinEducation #VirtualTechnology #FutureOfLearning #educator #researcher #20daylinkedinchallengewithhaoma

🌟 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗜 𝗘𝗿𝗮 Let’s confront an undeniable certainty: traditional education is no longer keeping up. The world is accelerating at AI speed, but many institutions remain stuck, replaying outdated methods. What if universities didn’t just adapt to change but led it? 💡 Here’s what leadership looks like: aerospace students in Hong Kong are navigating virtual missions through augmented reality before stepping into real labs. Assessments are being reimagined to cultivate deep, authentic understanding. No shortcuts, no loopholes. More than just ideas, these innovations are transformative answers to real-world demands. Yet, the biggest barrier isn’t technology. It’s the fear of disruption. Staying within the comfort zone won’t cut it in a future where AI is more than a tool. It’s a partner. What if we stopped asking, “How do we keep up?” and started demanding, “How do we make education indispensable?” The goal isn’t just to teach but to craft ethical, adaptable thinkers who thrive in complexity. Students need more than a syllabus. They need a future-proof foundation. It’s time to stop tinkering at the edges and build something extraordinary. So, are we stepping forward -- or standing still? The future won’t wait for us to decide. Let’s make it count. 🔗 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗯𝘀 𝟰:𝟳 (𝗡𝗜𝗩): "The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding."

🤓 I recently completed the course "Ecosystems and Business Model Innovation." This course is part of an innovation management track offered by a network of Swedish Universities including Halmstad University (that delivered this particular course). It was interesting to learn about how firms 1) must sharpen their thinking on how they create, deliver, and capture value, and 2) collaborate within ecosystems with different actors. The final assignment was a presentation of a business model innovation that leveraged AI in its service delivery. The MAISTR program is a designed for working professionals to develop the "skillsets and insights needed to handle the complex problems of today and tomorrow". Courses deliver content in AI, design, and innovation under the guidance of experts providing well-curated materials and practical assignments. The plan to take some more of courses over time as a kind of "make your own masters". Hopefully the motivation stays. 🤓
