🍂 Thanksgiving & the Supply Chain: A Feast of Coordination 🍂 As we gather around the table this Thanksgiving, let's take a moment to appreciate not just the delicious food on our plates, but the intricate supply chain that made it all possible. Every bite of turkey, every slice of pie, and every garnish on your plate represents a triumph of logistics, planning, and teamwork. From the farmer harvesting the cranberries, to the distributors ensuring smooth delivery, to the store shelves stocked in time for last-minute shoppers—every step along the supply chain is a story of connection. The smooth orchestration mirrors the spirit of Thanksgiving itself: collaboration, gratitude, and trust. Without proper coordination and timely deliveries, the meal we enjoy wouldn’t come together. Just as a successful Thanksgiving feast relies on the right ingredients arriving at the right time, the supply chain industry ensures businesses thrive with products efficiently moving from one link to another. This holiday, let's be thankful not just for the food, but for the silent heroes behind the scenes—the supply chain professionals who deliver the essentials (and the pumpkin spice!) we love. 🎯 Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with warmth, gratitude, and a renewed appreciation for the complex systems that keep our world moving smoothly. 🚛📦 Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃 🍁 #Thanksgiving #SupplyChain #GratitudeInAction

🦃📦 What Thanksgiving Taught Me About Supply Chain As I watched the Thanksgiving chaos unfold this year, I realized something: Thanksgiving is one giant supply chain in action. And just like in supply chain, everything has to flow smoothly—or disaster strikes. Here are 3 lessons Thanksgiving reminded me about supply chain: 1️⃣ Demand Planning is Everything: Do we need one turkey or two? How many potatoes? If you don’t forecast accurately, someone’s going hungry—or worse, you’ll end up with way too much gravy and not enough pie. 2️⃣ Collaboration Makes the Difference: From the person roasting the turkey to the one baking the rolls, everyone plays a role. Without clear communication, someone’s bringing green bean casserole no one wanted (again). 3️⃣ Last-Mile Logistics Matters Most: You can have the perfect meal planned, but if you forget the whipped cream for the pumpkin pie… the whole supply chain breaks down. Thanksgiving is proof that supply chain isn’t just about moving goods; it’s about bringing people together and making sure everything is in the right place, at the right time, for the right reasons. Grateful for family, food, and the everyday lessons supply chain teaches us. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! 🥧🚛 #SupplyChainLessons #Thanksgiving #OperationsInLife #LogisticsLearner

Most people are not brave enough to do this....(What prepping for Thanksgiving is teaching me) Are you willing to sit down with your BEST clients and asking the REALLy hard questions? How does this relate to Thanksgiving? My potato dish...obviously. I have no idea what type of potatoes I should bring to the Friendsgiving meal. I asked some questions and found out that this crowd wants a REAL traditional Thanksgiving meal. That is valuable information. Now I can make potatoes they will LOVE. Why don't we do this with our clients? Why don't we ask: What do you wish I was doing? What am I doing well? What am I doing poorly? What would make this agreement amazing? And then listening and adapting to their answers! I'm not just talking about a cute survey. I'm talking about a face to face meeting and giving them the floor to let them be candid. Like Mike Michalowicz says this is one of the steps in identifying your "Unique Offering that your Top Clients Want" (AKA being the best for the best) That's scary! But powerful. Happy Thanksgiving. What kind of potatoes do you expect at your Thanksgiving meal? 🤣 👏 PS. This image below is generated by Meta with this (and other prompts): "Generate this image: woman baking a potato dish for a thanksgiving meal. Show all the guests very happy. perhaps they are clapping or doing cartwheels. include festive decor." Looks like everyone likes the potatoe. #merv

Fast forward to today, and Thanksgiving is a chance to reflect on what we’re thankful for while gathering around tables full of comforting dishes. 💡 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜’𝗺 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗙𝗼𝗿: This year, I’m especially thankful for opportunities to grow, connect with inspiring people (like all of you!), and the simple joys that make life meaningful like eating dinner with my family. Whether you’re a fan of creamy mashed potatoes, savory stuffing, or that iconic green bean casserole, side dishes are the unsung heroes of the Thanksgiving table. Many years ago we started making homemade perogies that became our family's favorite 😋 🎉 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂: What’s your all-time favorite Thanksgiving side dish? Let’s have some fun—share yours in the comments below! Wishing you and yours a joyful and delicious Thanksgiving! 🧡 #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #ThankfulThursday #ThanksgivingTraditions #FoodieFun
