Speed Limiters - The EU Laws That Will Inevitably Affect New Cars Here As of a week ago, new laws came in force across the EU that all new cars must be fitted with technology which helps drivers stay in lane, helps drivers stay within the speed limit and jams on the brakes in an emergency. The UK doesn't subscribe to these laws so this technology isn't mandatory over here, however, manufacturers aren't likely to be creating special versions just for us, so we'll likely get this kit anyway.... like it or not... https://lnkd.in/eGqtriKV

In the case of driving a car, an individual has to follow traffic laws, yield to other vehicles, and generally operate within a framework of rules and norms that ensure the safety and smooth functioning of the road system. This limits their absolute freedom to drive however they please.Similarly, in the international system, states are expected to operate within a framework of international laws, norms, and institutions that aim to promote stability, cooperation, and the protection of weaker states. This necessarily limits their ability to exercise absolute sovereignty and pursue their interests without regard for others.
