The most promising thing I’ve seen from Microsoft Build is AKS Automatic. Is this finally kubernetes for the masses without the burden and overhead of managing k8s clusters? Can’t wait to try it #cloudnative #k8s #kubernetes https://lnkd.in/eBCgVsTb

Interesting to see Microsoft launch their competitor to GKE AutoPilot - a Kubernetes deployment with even fewer knobs to twiddle. I personally think it's a good thing to remove the complexity so that it lowers the barriers to adoption where it makes business and technical sense. You can still roll "regular" clusters if you need more control/configuration. https://lnkd.in/epGT_Vvj

The new AKS Automatic service simplifies Kubernetes cluster management on Azure. Here's what you need to know: 1. Automatic Cluster Configuration: AKS Automatic manages cluster configuration, including nodes, scaling, security, updates, and preconfigured settings. It optimizes clusters for most production workloads, freeing developers from manual cluster management. 2. Generative AI with Copilot: IT teams running AKS can now invoke Copilot for Azure to automate tasks like configuring backups, changing pricing tiers, locating YAML files, and constructing `kubectl` commands. 3. Service Connector and Node Auto-Provisioning: AKS now includes a Service Connector for authentication and network configurations, as well as auto-provisioning that right-sizes virtual machines for workloads. 4. Auto-Instrumentation with Application Insights: Microsoft plans to add an auto-instrumentation capability that injects the Azure Monitor OpenTelemetry toolkit into application pods, providing telemetry data. 5. Best Practices Preconfigured: Microsoft incorporates best practices for managing and securing Kubernetes clusters into AKS. Deployment safeguards enforcement and an open-source Kubernetes AI toolchain operator (KAITO) enhance the experience. #Azure #Kubernetes #CloudNative #TechInnovation #AKSAutomatic
