How to hire a great VA? 1. Hiring for attitude. -Look for someone who loves self-growth. -Look for someone who cares more about you than money. 2. Hiring for communication. -Know your communication tools. -Use the one that suits both of you. 3. Possession of an SOP before hiring. -Have in place all the standard operating procedures showing exactly how each task is performed with the necessary tools. 4. Give a test task. -This complements the portfolio and the testimonials owned by the VA. Add your 5, 6, 7, 8 etc.

This role requires a certain criteria to be met as they would be dealing with clients directly, staff members, be involved with some decision making for the business. We follow a strict interview process for all roles within the business. We are NOT a “slap dash” Company who just replies to people saying “yo, when can ya start”. So when someone applies and haven’t answered the questions within the application and we send an email requesting their answers …….. we certainly Don’t expect this response? 🤬🤬🤬 This makes my blood boil - it’s not JUST a cleaning role. There are many ways to screw up hiring a virtual assistant. Here are the 3 biggest mistakes that I see people making: 1- Looking for someone who can do EVERYTHING (A unicorn) 2- Not having a clear definition of the tasks they want to be completed 3- No operating procedures to follow I have heard people complain time and again that they hired someone and it did not work out. “They just didn't know how to do things the way I wanted” In my experience, this is YOUR fault 85% of the time. Nobody can read your mind. Nobody understands your business like you. Nobody can guess how you want things done. Create clear and concise tasks and expectations. Or keep doing everything yourself 🤷🏽♂️
