This weekend just past, I competed in and completed my first hackathon - Build Together: AI Hackathon. It was a priveldge to be involved and to see the projects the other participants were working on. We decided to use LangChain for our build due to familiarity and the control it provides for multi-agent frameworks. Given the less than 24 hours build time I ended up (thanks vline), we decided to forgo using LangGraph and simply hard coded the connections between agents. The agents themselves all followed a similar design with Role, Task and Notes sections broken up using markdown. For quick prototyping/design iteration using a Notes section is invaluable to quickly train the agents away from 'bad' behaviour. Big thanks to our fourth team mate Florian Johannes Leonhardt assisting with prompt design.
