The standardization of network APIs is putting network control directly into the hands of the satellite customer. APIs offer greater transparency and control for end users—and they also allow telcos and other network operators to give the end user network access, control, and configuration capabilities. Network disaggregation and SDN bring commercial, operational, and strategic benefits to all providers of fixed broadband infrastructure.
