🔐 Today, I had the opportunity to attend the "Building Cybersecurity Excellence: Tech, Policy, and People" event in NYC. A huge thank you to IT Brew for bringing together leaders and innovators to discuss the urgent cybersecurity issues facing us today. 💡 One standout session featured former NSA Deputy Director George Barnes, now leading the cybersecurity practice at Red Cell Partners. Barnes shared his insights on pressing topics, including: ✅ The current and evolving vulnerabilities within US infrastructure Election security challenges and preparation ✅ The imminent need to prepare for quantum computing as a potential nation-state tool ✅ The ways cybercriminals are leveraging AI 🌙 And, what "keeps him up at night" in today’s rapidly shifting threat landscape. As cybersecurity professionals, we know the threat landscape changes constantly, demanding a continuous evolution of our defenses.
