I chose to be a cooler problem solver, now I’m a Product Manager 😎 I've always been passionate about innovation and helping people. Since a young age, I've had this analytical mindset that helped me learn quickly. I realized that my knack for numbers and obsession with innovation made technology the perfect fit for me. That's why I became a Product Manager. It lets me utilize my communication, prioritization, and decision-making skills to create what's most essential for improving people's lives and transforming their experiences. As a Product Manager, I've learned that sometimes you need to be as flexible as a yoga instructor and as persistent as a toddler asking for candy 😂 and being observant allows me to truly understand people—their feelings, beliefs, and professional needs. This insight helps me create products that align with those needs and assign each team member to the right task. I genuinely wear the "team player" tag, and I strive to make it real and meaningful for everyone I work with. And here I am, after a decade of juggling roles from business analyst to product manager, I’ve gained unique skills from experiencing the entire process from end to end. My hands-on approach and dedication help me stand out, allowing me to figure out what’s best for the job, no matter the title.   Seeing the job done and the results achieved makes my eyes shine and brings a big smile to my face. It’s all worth it when my clients are happy and confident with their products. How about you? What did you choose to be? Why?

“What’s the day-to-day job of a PM?” I got asked this question again this weekend, and honestly, it’s still hard to answer in just one line. ❌ I’m not launching products every day. ❌ I’m not constantly working on high-level vision or strategy. ❌ I’m not pitching bold ideas to executives all the time. ❌ And I’m definitely not making big, visible impacts daily. But here’s what I do: ✅ I track and monitor how we’re moving toward our goals—every single day. ✅I constantly re-evaluate and prioritize immediate, short, and long-term goals ✅ I spend lots of time with my teams every day. ✅ And yes, I deal with fires and escalations ALL THE TIME. The role isn’t always flashy, but progress happens in the grind. And honestly, that’s what I love most about it. What do you think I’ve missed? 🎉 Celebrating 6 months in Product Operations at Enable I can’t believe it’s been 6 months already! 🎉 As I settle into my role in Product Operations (Prod Ops), I wanted to share what this function is all about and why it plays a crucial role in supporting our Product Managers (PMs). What is Product Operations? 🤔 At its core, Product Operations is all about creating the right processes and structures that empower PMs to do their best work. 🟪 Filling the Gaps: Pitch in when necessary to address PM work that is necessary but is not where PMs add value (e.g. scheduling customer calls). 🟪 Building Essential Infrastructure: Set up the tools and systems that product teams need to collaborate effectively and drive projects forward. 🟪 Data-Driven Decisions: Ensure that PMs have the insights they need to make informed decisions quickly. 🟪 Customer Connection: Create the channels for PMs to engage with customers, gather feedback, and incorporate their needs into our product development. 🟪 Cross-Functional Connection: Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional stakeholders, from input gathering to successful go-to-market launches. Whether it’s processes, data, customer insights or cross-functional collaboration, we’re here to help PMs succeed! I’m excited to continue this journey and find new ways for Prod Ops to make a positive impact on our PMs and the products we create!

For my first 3 weeks in Product Operations, I conducted a Discovery! 🕵♀️ I Interviewed 20+ product team members and cross-functional stakeholders 😅 My objective was to meet them on a human level, and then discuss our product processes from idea to launch to uncover areas of improvement. ⤴ In a global company of over 650 employees, meeting all of the product stakeholders takes some time and I am not done, a few remain! It has been a great learning journey 📚 : ☑ All of the new colleagues I met were very welcoming and open ☑ Everyone is very engaged in their role and in the success of the organization ☑ We reviewed where we could improve ☑ Many shared content so I could further educate myself My next step will be to incorporate myself into one or two product teams to experience firsthand how they work, their inputs and hand-offs, the tools they use, and the practices they follow. I'm also looking forward to collaborating with our GTM teams as they represent a key function to ensure increased adoption and shorter time to value for the features we launch to the market. It's been fun so far. Looking forward to make an impact. Let's go 🙌 🚀

In my product management career, I've met a huge variety of fellow product managers. It's funny to me that it's just one job title, as the responsibilities of the job vary as widely as the companies that need them. Product is often the nexus of the company, the place where users intersect with developers and management. Product is a support position, much like leadership. It's there to enable the team's best work. Product is tactical, needing to write precise acceptance criteria and guide daily meetings to meet goals. Product is strategic, needing to conduct market analysis and user research. Product is part of the development team, responsible for the end goal with developers, QA, project, devops, and release. Product is a separate department, with separate goals and performance indicators from the Development team. One thing I've certainly noticed; nobody's good at all of these things, as many of them are diametrically opposed. I've met Product with all sorts of specialties and all sorts of approaches. The main thing that I've seen distinguish great Product from mediocre is a collaborative mindset. The one fact that I find incontrovertible is that Product cannot exist in a vacuum, so collaboration is key. I'm still looking for my next role. Just trying to think through what Product Management means to me and where I'd like to go.
