It has been long since I have been not working and I really miss my job not because it paid me well but because I loved working on SEO and Content as much. Now, I am going deep into understanding the how digital is linked to proper marketing. Yes, Social media, SEO, PPC run on techniques and algorithms but a lot goes into the marketing part as well. Hence, shaping my marketing mindset better with University of New Haven with my Masters in Marketing and Digital Marketing.

I see a disturbing trend in school marketing. During the 2019-2020 school year at my former school, 46% of all visits to the website were from organic search, compared to only 2% of visits to the website were from social media. Schools talk ALL THE TIME about social media strategy and plans but don't... ...talk about SEO at all. SEO is what can affect that 46% of organic search. If you are worried about recruiting/enrolling new students, you need to have an SEO strategy now!

Learning digital marketing won't be of much use if you don't understand marketing itself. In Digital Marketing, 80% of the role is marketing and only 20% of the role is marketing. Many people seek to learn Digital but many people still have to learn main marketing. Terms like paid ads, SEO, lead generation, and sales funnels are often tossed around as buzzwords, yet many lack a deep understanding of the fundamentals. To become a true marketer, one must grasp how to influence and persuade a person to buy a product or service, making them feel like they genuinely need it. If you can crack this process, you become a marketer. And if you can execute this process digitally, you'll become a great marketer

Just three weeks ago, the digital marketing world was a vast, unknown knowledge to me. Now, it feels like a familiar landscape, although that's constantly evolving. The journey has been both exhilarating and humbling. At first, the sheer volume of information was overwhelming. SEO(searchengine optimization), PPC(pay-per-click),social media marketing, content creation – it seemed endless. But as I delved deeper, I began to see the interconnectedness of these elements. Each piece, no matter how small, contributes to the bigger picture. One of the most significant challenges was understanding the nuances of SEO. The concept of keywords, backlinks, and meta descriptions initially felt like a foreign language. However, with consistent practice and a lot of trial and error, I started to grasp the underlying principles. Perhaps the most rewarding aspect has been the creative freedom that digital marketing offers. Whether it's crafting engaging social media posts or writing persuasive blog content, there's always an opportunity to express oneself. Looking ahead, I'm excited to continue exploring this dynamic field. I'm eager to apply my newfound knowledge to real-world projects and see the tangible results. The digital marketing journey is far from being over, but these first three weeks have laid a strong foundation for future growth I must say. I'm so delighted about my progress and zeal so far. I'm so proud of you Marvellous!!! Anyone could learn a tech skill, so hurry and join the train while it's still moving...Don't be left out! #DigitalMarketing #SEO #DigitalMarketingstrategist #Creator #SocialMediaMarketing #Techies #Evolving #Futuristicgoals

My journey into marketing started by teaching myself everything ✍️ → At 13, I built my first engaged audience on Twitter through an Ariana Grande fan account (LOL) → When I was 14, I taught myself how to use WordPress through an Ariana Grande update website (we all get into marketing somehow!) → Last year, I built my Silly Goose Digital website by myself (big 🥹) by learning as I go → And at the same time as building my Silly Goose Digital website, I also experimented with website SEO → I even set up Google Analytics and Search Console for the first time through YouTube videos (and a bit of luck) Expensive marketing courses are good and can help layer on knowledge, but a big part of your knowledge will come from doing the work. If you're looking to get into marketing, you don't need $5,000 for a marketing course straight off. You just need the will to learn.

A few years ago, I stood in the pharmacy where I worked, reflecting on how the world around me was rapidly changing. While I loved helping patients improve their health, I realized I could impact more lives by diving into the digital world. The rise of digital platforms fascinated me. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and learn Search engine optimization. It wasn’t easy, but my passion for learning fueled me to keep going. Today, I help businesses build meaningful connections with their audiences through strategic SEO. My background in pharmacy taught me the importance of precision and care—skills I bring to crafting tailored marketing strategies. Every step of my journey taught me that growth happens when you take risks and learn something new. I’d love to hear about your journey—what inspired you to step outside your comfort zone? PS: Congratulations to me on bagging my second professional certificate in SEO.
