In the rapidly evolving landscape of digital development, we're confronted with an intriguing paradox. While the digital revolution brings unprecedented opportunities for social and human development, it also poses significant challenges to our existing educational and vocational structures. Recent research indicates that as automation and AI continue to disrupt traditional industries, there's an urgent need for a paradigm shift in our education policies and skills development strategies. The question is - How do we bridge this gap between technological advancements and our current education system? One solution lies in sustainable innovation within our educational frameworks. We need to reimagine our policies to cultivate a culture of lifelong learning, fostering skills that are not just relevant today but also adaptable to the unpredictable changes of tomorrow. As we journey towards this goal, let's remember that the ultimate aim of education goes beyond merely preparing individuals for the job market. It's about nurturing human potential, promoting social development, and driving sustainable progress. So, as we strive to shape an inclusive digital future, let's ensure that our human resource development strategies, public policies, and educational systems evolve in tandem with our technological advancements. This way, we can truly harness the transformative power of digital development, foster social development, and make sustainable innovation a reality. #DigitalDevelopment #EducationPolicy #SustainableInnovation #SocialDevelopment

I was surprised to see that in a recent report, half of Welsh businesses are struggling with a skills shortage and many say they 'lack the confidence to adopt AI or green technologies'. 🖥️ I think companies need to adopt, embrace change and upskill their current workforce which will allow growth and sustainability in the economy. Collaborating with local Universities is also essential to ensure the next generation of workers is there. Could this be worrying times for companies within the Tech industry? 🏴 🏴 🏴 #wales #artificialintelligence #technology https://lnkd.in/e4nwUhfN

Experts predict that by the year 2030, 85% of jobs will be ones that don't even exist yet. As machines take over repetitive tasks, humans will be free to focus on other creative, social and intellectual pursuits. The competencies most valued in the future will be soft skills like creativity, empathy, communication and critical thinking. If 2030 seems far away, consider this. It's estimated that by the year 2025, up to 85 million jobs could be replaced by machines, while 97 million new roles suited to human-AI collaboration will emerge. This transformation will impact all industries. In order to ensure that you can thrive in this digital future, learning digital literacy, meaning comfort and capability with technologies, is essential. To get started, individuals should assess their current digital skills and tap into resources to help them improve. Governments and employers should also begin to invest in digital literacy training. This is less about having all employees become tech experts and more about gaining awareness of how technologies like AI are transforming work. Data will power the fourth industrial revolution, so organizations will need data-literate employees to extract value from it. To expand your own digital literacy, start by approaching new tech tools with curiosity. Keep reading, watching informational videos, taking online courses, whatever learning methods suit you best. Prioritize developing your soft skills too....

Andrei M. Craciun, Advisor to the Minister, Ministry of Education: Organizational culture is not a stand-alone concept, it is in a dynamic belt. Technology and digital natives are transforming the work environment. We should address how we practice the reverse learning, how we could apply it so that we evolve. Tools and AI will bring us to the context in which we can connect more efficiently and better with people. This is an element that will redesign work relationships. When it’s hard, then you look for good people or cultivate the potential.
