Have you noticed how unique the hiring criteria is in Content Creation? It is extremely difficult to define roles, boundaries and the exact kind of talent/skills required for a job in this space. Here's why it's intriguing: -It's not just about qualifications; versatility is key. Graphic design, video editing, social media savvy – the more, the better. -Passion > Degrees: Degrees matter, but passion for storytelling and content creation often outweighs formal education. -Adaptability and quick TAT is important! So many deadlines and last minute creative changes are needed. Also, the ability to evolve with the industry is a standout quality. (this can be challenging as it means funny working hours, random days working and random days off) -Having a work portfolio is still important though, cannot just read a resume or take your word for it :P A robust portfolio showcasing your creativity is your best resume. And most importantly, community engagement- knowing and connecting with a specific audience is as crucial as any other qualification. #ContentCreation #HiringInsights #DigitalSkills
I believe it's pretty bad to expect "versatility".. such employers are usually looking to pay one salary for multiple roles instead of hiring specialists in their respective fields..
Differentiation matters a lot in content creation, the more creative your thought process is, the more likely you are to benefit.
Second you Gautami Kawale All these skills are must-have but honestly I am not good at designing images / infographics 🤭
But don't you think that amidst all the emphasis on versatility and adaptability, there's a risk of undervaluing specialization? While being a jack-of-all-trades is undoubtedly valuable, there's also merit in honing expertise in a particular area.
Problem is in her we want multitaskers … Thoda adobe thoda photoshop is thoda content write thoda keywords thoda premiere thoda kabhi kabhi shoot thoda mic settings and it becomes intriguing 🧐
Thank you for your post. I follow your content regularly and I always appreciate the time you take to subtitle everything so it’s a wider audience. Hoping to connect with you as well.

10moUntrue. It’s not difficult to define roles, it’s actaully in the best interest of enterprises to get someone to do tonnes of work, neatly rolled into one title ‘content creator’. If this were not the case, institutes like NID, NIFT, TISCH etc would combine all visual communication like Graphic Design, Filmmaking, Photography into one super discipline. Please understand that it takes years to master one to be able to be called a professional. These super roles, generally leverage creative people’s ability to not shy away from adding new tools, techniques and modes of expressions to their arsenal. But to reduce them to ‘the more the better’ is a myopic view of design as a discipline. That said, opportunities like these allow for young creatives to explore multiple disciplines before possibly taking one up more seriously. But this idea of a multi-dimensional creative with the ability to execute ideas across multiple mediums smells like an overworked and underpaid intern.
