Sales Recruiter @ Iterable

I'm a big fan of transparency and empathy in the hiring process like this. It's something we don't see nearly as much as we should in this market. In just a couple of paragraphs you can: 1) Let the hundreds of applicants to your role know that one way or another, they'll receive a response. Applications take both time and effort, so acknowledging you'll be seen is such a positive thing to know as an applicant considering the majority of the time folks receive no response whatsoever to the roles they apply to. 2) Show the thousands of people who will see this post that your company values you as an applicant. One can assume if they value you as an applicant, they'll also value you as an employee and as a customer of theirs too! A little can go a very long way here when it comes to helping you stand out as a company. Well done Jim Turbek and Box!

Head of Global Recruiting @Box | We're hiring!

Last week we opened up a Sr. G&A Recruiter role based in our Redwood City office and received 450+ applications over the weekend. I recognize how challenging the job market is right now for talent acquisition professionals…there are so many amazing people on the market and not enough opportunities. In the interest of transparency, we made the tricky decision to pull down the posting and close the application window, to make sure we can review every resume received and begin first round screens. We’ve done a lot of research on candidate experience over the last two years and the number one gripe with the hiring process is candidates getting ghosted. Our goal is to make sure every applicant gets a response, so please bear with us as we work through the current pool of candidates. This is a tough thing to work through. On the one hand, we are delighted to get so much interest in the role and we are looking forward to connecting with a lot of talented folks in the industry. On the other, we're sorry to have to disappoint some people and acknowledge those who have sent us messages after taking the posting down. Let's hope things continue to improve and we see a lot more TA opportunities flowing through in the coming months. Thank you for your interest and I’m bullish that the future is bright in the talent world!
