It's Thursday and that means it's pod time!! 🎙 The latest The Best You - A Coaching Podcast is now available! This one includes a more in-depth review of the recent blog discussing judging and judgment and how that will impact your life. I also provide an overview of a recent MasterClass I completed by Malcolm Gladwell on the subject of writing. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/gvda-MiQ or download from your favourite podcast platform. What is your judging process? Do you know your typical judgment personas? How often do you stop to think how each of these serves or hinders you? Have a listen and please do let me know if this is helpful. #TheBestYou #coaching #podcast #judgment

🗣️ While connecting with Dwayne Jenkins, MD MBA, CPC on his Words of Love podcast, he posed one of the most powerful questions: “If the Double Empathy Problem is the problem, what’s the answer?” For some context, Dr. Dwayne and I were discussing the breakdowns in communication and understanding that often happen between neurodivergent and neurotypical people. The Double Empathy Problem refers to this very phenomenon—where both parties struggle to see, understand, and empathize with one another. But it doesn’t stop there. These communication breakdowns are common for anyone navigating across different cultures, perspectives, or experiences. 🌍 Throughout the episode, we explored the answers to this challenge. Dr. Dwayne's incredible coaching presence made it a deeply enriching and insightful conversation. 🎧 Take a listen, and I’d love to hear what resonates with you! UNEXPECTED OUTCOMES – EXCITING OPPORTUNITIES There are many benefits from stepping outside our comfort zone – growth, confidence, new skills, connection, recognition……but sometimes there are benefits we didn’t anticipate. When I started my podcast it was a leap in the dark in many ways and, although a lot more work than I anticipated, I don’t regret it for a minute. However I didn’t realise that it would provide such helpful data about what support people are looking for and yet that has been crystal clear and led me in a new and exciting direction. The Assertiveness episode has been the most popular by some margin and The Difficult Conversations episode is next in line. I am aware that these are areas I cover a great deal in coaching and group work but this data has really highlighted how powerful a model Assertiveness is, how broad its reach and how significant its impact. I’m incredibly grateful to all the listeners who have spread the word and given feedback. To respond to this interest I’ve launched an online Assertiveness workshop and will be adding new dates soon. I have a waiting list so to make sure I’m giving people enough notice please sign up here https://lnkd.in/e7yWdMC8 so I can keep you updated or message me if you’d like to find out if this is a good fit for you or your organisation. And if you haven’t yet then do listen to the podcast - https://lnkd.in/enXyj3tF or wherever you find your podcasts #Assertiveness #Skilfulcommunication #Coaching #Coachingpodcast #spotifywrapped #leadershipcoaching
