Researchers and site teams in South Africa and India have gathered in Cape Town and New Delhi respectively, to discuss the initial results of GARDP’s observational study on the management of antibiotic-resistant infections in hospitals. Data was collected and analyzed from patients being treated for infections caused by carbapenem-resistant organisms across five hospitals in India and five hospitals in South Africa. We are very grateful to our excellent site teams in both countries. The information gleaned from the study could ultimately help to improve treatments for hospital-acquired infections, which are among the deadliest of antibiotic-resistant infections.
