Takeover of the bridge St Esprit: done! The 50 flags made from milk waste transform the Adour into a river of milk, a common landscape element in Eastern European fairy tales, which has a French equivalent: the Pays de Cocagne. It is a land where everything is in abundance, with rivers of milk and shores of kissel (a traditional dessert in northern Europe), where animals run and fly already roasted, houses are made of gingerbread, cheese is everywhere instead of stones... Today, the futuristic approach of the Pays de Cocagne sheds light on this medieval dream. The way to achieve this could be the circular economy, which allows us to preserve resources, protect the environment and share fairly, while offering the best to everyone. As part of the Points de Vue street art festival, research is being carried out into how citizens can get involved in urban circular economy initiatives to actively contribute to the recycling and reuse of materials, thus improving sustainability in the short and long term. This is the next stage of our research after the 59th Venice Biennale in 2022 and STALKER within Normandie Impressionniste in 2023-2024.

In recognition of Earth Day, EXHIBITOR magazine asked 10 industry experts to share their thoughts on sustainability. This is the tagline of FÓLK’s exhibition at 3daysofdesign where FÓLK proudly exhibited 6 circular collections of interior products from 5 waste streams Our vision is to accelerate the green transition, and we believe it is important for us to change for the better. Only around 10% of the EU is circular, and 4% in Denmark. This means that more than 90% of materials are only used once in these economies. The sad thing is that many products have a very short lifetime before they are burned or put in a landfill. This is why we emphasize circularity and durability in all our products and packaging.
