I wonder whether YouTube should be overlooked in surveys on audio streaming platforms. In my observation, YouTube is categorised as a video platform but it's also one of the most popular sources for music streaming. With YouTube Premium, we don't need to keep the app open and can listen to it like any other audio streaming platform. While it doesn't curate playlists for me like other music platforms—which is highly important to many—I and my peers don't mind that. In fact, when we pay for YouTube Premium, we get to listen to music without keeping the app open and also stream videos without ads, so paying separately for other platforms seems wasteful. I do understand how having curated playlists and recommendations makes the purchase necessary. I can say that's one of the reasons why Spotify gained the popularity. Still super curious to know how many people use YouTube to listen to music. #MusicStreaming #YouTubePremium #MarketInsights
